I'm really an oldie

Recommended Posts

Or at least feel as though I should be.

It all started last year when I was dressed as an old woman for a fancy dress do and my friend said she could imagine me as as granny. Numerous other people around me agreed.

Then my work colleague said I was quite old in my ways. I told this to another friend and they agreed!

A couple of other people have mentioned similar things as well.

I thought I was a typical 23 year old, albeit maybe a little more 'settled down', so to say, than others but none-the-less, being called old by a number of people... Grr....

Will try to think of things to make myself younger and more hip, but in the meantime I have altered my age of my bio bit in accordance with the views I have discovered....

To be honest if somebody said I was older in my ways and how I acted I would probably take that as a compliment. So many people I know in their early thirties or mid twenties act as if they're in their teens and are totally inmature.

Nothing wrong with being wise beyond your years. You will get a lot of respect for that.

To answer your question LMU from the couple of occasions I've met you and from what I can gather on here you do act older and far more maturer than the average 23 year old. This is not a criticism and do not feel you have to change your ways to please others.

You'll earn more respect for being yourself.

I'd rather be considered old for my age than completely inmature.

Time to get your bus pass LMU!

Not sure whether it's an advantage to look young anyway. I was still getting asked for ID in pubs when I was 22!!
