I agree, great news about Ben Walshe.

As one who has yet to buy either a home or away shirt, club polo shirt on order, wouldn't it be better to offer a fiver discount on the new shirt to anyone who has bought a 'Gravesend Reporter' shirt whatever the colour.

Surely, that would keep all parties happy and at the same time increase the overall number of shirts sold. It's called the 'turnover' principle rather than profit per item. The Club are willing to try it with 'ladies day' tomorrow why not try it with the shirts?

Just a thought.

You'd be right there Daz.

Another question I have is whether or not the ladies in cheaper is going to be a regular thing?

I know of a few female season ticket holders who are a little disgruntled.

Perhaps the "Chief" Executive could shed some light on this in his programme notes some time.

I seem to be lost...

If I bring in a woman that I can prove I bought after June 1st who's wearing a blue top with the Reporter written on it, can I get a free child that I can force to work in a mine? Will we all get a free hot dog and programme?

Taking the p*** are we?

I am sure I will get told off for expressing my opinion about ladies for £5.00.I have blotted my copy book once already this week!! As a season ticket holder I couldn't care less if the club let other ladies in for half price. The aim is to get as much money into the club as possible. We keep on about wanting to go full time and yet we nit pick about whether someone is getting a better deal than some of us are. I know one lady in her 80's who can't come to the football any more due to immobility, but she still buys a season ticket each year and supported the players' pledge, because she loves the club and would do anything to help it. She would do anything to be in our position and be able to watch her beloved club.

My husband bought a centre stand ticket one season, but was not well enough to go to any matches, but he didn't worry about losing the money. Can't comment on the tops - never had one - if I wore one I doubt if you would ever sell anymore - enough to put anybody off!!

Thanks to whoever was responsible for putting HAPPY BIRTHDAY VERA!! at the top of the Forum. Made me feel real good, especially as they didn't say anything about age. <img src="/images/graemlins/dancingman.gif" alt="" />

Excellent newsday all in all,Kumbur sounds promising and we were lightweight up front if injuries occured, and it would be nice if we could find a striker who scores on a more regular basis, give us a bit more cutting edge.

Also great news about Shearer, well done Andy lets hope things work out well.

Listening to Andy on RK this evening, Kumber, in particular, was signed in a bit of a rush, in view of the deadline for the next round of the FA Cup. Apparently, Andy only had a chance to look at him in last nights (?) reserve team game, and has said he'll basically take the chance to look at him over the coming weeks to see if hes worth a longer term stay.

Andy also said that, given the difficult set of fixtures we had coming up, he felt it appropriate to take an extra midfielder on loan, even though we are quite strong in that department at the moment.

(I hope you forgive me, Andy, if my paraphrasing isnt totally what was said)

So we'll have to wait and see how that develops in the long term.

Thanks for keeping us sickly supporters updated Dave, a slight case of the 'Nadgers'. New sponsers, Daly, Kumber and a two year contract on Shearer. It just gets better and better, so lets string a few wins together and a 3rd Round place, or better, in the FA Cup.
