Wonder what Rhodes will make of Kentish Town leading 4-0?

Guess he will assume its against Chesham United Reserves, reserve, under 18, reserve much depleted team???

No, he will say that it is because Lee Scott is playing, and that if the club had wrapped him in cotton wool a few years back, they'd be in the Conference by now!

Shout out to NF who was wheeled out of retirement once again tonight for St Mags and was their best player. Great to see him still playing. Genuine SSMFL legend.

Sticky time for the Holmers, anyone manage to get to that game?

Sticky time for the Holmers, anyone manage to get to that game?

Me, I was playing. We were very resolute defensively which was a step forward for us. We just didn't create enough chances. First half, we pushed forward more, I think tiredness played a part in the second half as we were playing up the slope at London Colney. Their first goal was avoidable from a free kick, the second was an unstopabble 30 yarder. Fair play to the lad who hit it.

Having turned up late, and not being allowed a late kick off, I thought we played very well. Only incident of note being a slight coming together between one of ours and their players, nothing more than handbags where both players pushed head towards each other and grabbed each others shirts. Downside to that being that the linesman decided it be appropriate to act big and tell the referee to send them both off, However, full credit to the referee, he booked both and dealt with the situation very well.

Bring on Harefield on Saturday, who I noticed lost to Codicote in the cup last night.

Looks like I picked the right Colney team to go watch last night, emphatic win against St Mags, although I have to say their team looked a bit depleted. Is their hunt for second-spot over now?

At the other end, despite the positives in the match report above, are Holmer Green starting to slip away from the pack now? Harefield are a very strong team with some clever forwards, I believe they rested a few last night which is bad news for the greens.

We are starting to slip away, although we still have games against teams around us in the league. Played Harefield just after the new year, and you are correct they have some good strikers but I believe if we defend well again and actually attack with a purpose we can claim a win

Unfortunately, I haven't seen Holmer defend well at any of the games I've been to this season, the big blonde lad looks good, great no-nonsense centre-back, needs some help around him though, the rest of the defence just seem to moan and give away silly free kicks. Contrary to what you say, I think they look good going forward, the pacey mixed race winger and 'Grant Holt' like striker can cause some real damage when fed.

Got to say, Colney Heath's defence was resolute last night and really kept the St Mags rabble on the bench quiet.

Indeed my centre back partner is a good player, just prone to a few mistakes and getting a bit slower. Mixed race winger is dangerous but seems to drift in and out of our games in my opinion, and yes our striker mentioned as "Grant Holt" is a very good player. I do believe we can get out of this
