to wish all the best for the last few games of your ryman league season !!!
I understand that someone was posting about how generally your fans do not wish to travel to all the different conference grounds!
I can assure you that whilst some of them are not exactly a palace, they are still a damn sight better than ryman grounds and you will enjoy every second of next season should you beat the fleet to promotion.
Cant wait for 15th April ESC Final - should be a good match and a great atmosphere.
All the best.

A Daggers fan

yeah thats right all essex teams stick together cause i tell you what we will over on our side!! did you see the attendance last tuesday(offically 4100 but unoffically 5000) now thats the type of support you need unlike when we played on your pit and filled half your poxy little tin shack

if you go up you can have all the money you want but will you survive in the conferance or div3 with crowds of 3-400 i don't think so losers do you

Actually nutters you are indeed very much mistaken !!!!!!
Our average attendance this year is not too much off 2000. With the exception of a 3k crowd against exeter, luton and orient. A 4k Crowd against Boston and a 6k crowd against premiership Ipswich !!!
I would say that is considerably higher than your poxy little **** crowds !!
As for our players, you really dare to criticise them considering our top scorer held the premiership record of scoring in 7 consecutive games with alan shearer and ian wright until Ruud Van nistelrooy just broke it.
Or kenny charlery one of the non leagues best strikers.
Or are you maybe criticising our 3 goalkeepers, two of which have full international caps for wales and the other having many semi pro caps for england !???
Or maybe you are just critising our midifeld which consist of talent nearly all of whcih have vast football league experience !
or maybe your just having a pop because sky have decided to Show the mighty dagenham and redbridge around 7 times this year...wot with our apperances on match of the day that is not bad for a [****!!****] team from essex with crap crowds and a team full of ex ford workers !!!!!!
Go and [****!!****] poke yourself you gravesend loooooooser !!!!!!!
(Come back when you have a decent argument and a better stand than our Carling stand which incidenatlly is the biggest sponsorship deal in non league football !)
Come on Canvey really do us essex boys proud now, this two bob gravesend ****** really has made me want you to win the league even more !!!!!!
P.S - Hows young Mr Paul Cobb doing ?????
Hes a very good friend of mine though I havent spoke with him 4a while.

Thanks for coming on this site Foghorn and talking some sense. Shame this kent moron has to poke his nose in.

Both clubs have done Essex proud over the last few years and both have higher profiles right now than the Essex league clubs.

Im really sad to see that you look like you will miss out on promotion to the league. Essex needs another league team. Just hope that if we go up we will get a good healthy rivallry going. We have outgrown our so called rivals Billercay.
Look forward to the game at Roots hall on the 15th lets hope both teams put out full strength sides and we can have a memorable final.

Please ignore "North Kent Nutters" - they are obviously just that.
Much as the rivalry exists between our 2 clubs, believe it or not ( and its probably not, given some of the idiotic and over the top postings that have regularly appeared both on our board and yours), the vast majority of our supporters want that to be friendly rivalry.
Naturally, we all hope ( and believe) that our team is good enough to beat you to the title and thus promotion, but we generally acknowledge that both Canvey and Gravesend are good teams and its a sad reflection of the current pyramid system that only one team can be promoted, especially with such a gap to the remaining teams.
Theres not been a lot between us, either in our 2 matches against each other or over the season as a whole.
The title will now probably depend as much on who keeps their nerve better, as their footballing ability.
Still, whilst it would have been handy to haa back door entry into the Conference if your ground hadnt been considered good enough, I am glad that the matter will be decided on the pitch and not off it.
May the best team win ( ie GNFC !! :-) )
PS To the Dagenham supporter who has posted on this thread - please dont get involved in a slanging match with the NKN - it really doesnt befit your club's status as a premier non leagu team.
It really doesnt matter how many supporters a team can lay claim to, does it ?? Yes, its great to have a large fan base, but thats bound to happen anyway, when a club is doing well
You only have to look at a team like Margate as a good example of that - average crowd at Christmas 2000 - approx 500 (I believe, but dont quote me on that) - increased to 1500 or so when they were doing exceptionally well in the first part of this season ( and before anyone comments, they have had a good first season overall in the Conference and I know their crowds have dropped back a bit again now)
And incidentally, on what evidence is your statement based that GNFC will not stay in the Conference and will go straight back down - probably only one or two games at most - does that really put you i a position to make such a statement ?
Anyway, theres more I could say on this subject, but this is meant to be a Forum for Canvey supporters, so I will simply apologise for the length of this posting and stop here.

Thanks Daggers, I for one find myself looking at your result straight after every game, I wish you all the best for the rest of the season and hope that you also win promotion as you deserve it.
Lets hope that on the 15th April we both put out our strongest teams and both sets of suporters can have a drink or 2 after the game in one of Southends many pubs.

WHAT THE [****!!****] ARE YOU ON ABOUT NORTH KENT NUTTERS !???????????
Are you trying to suggest that your [****!!****] two bob stonebridge road ground is much if at all better than canveys ground !??????
Us essex sides do not usually stick together as you put it although I dont suppose you noticed that the last two non league sides in the whole of the country to make it through to the 3rd round fa cup this year were from essex !???
gravesend arent much cop, and I do believe that your average attendance is around 600-700 so maybe you could say that your 5000 crowd is more than a one off - and unlike your one off big crowd being for a ryman league match ours and canveys are for high profile matches against premiership and nationwide opposition.
Should gravesend win promotion they will no way stay up,and as a dagenham fan, I think I have abit more knowledge about conference football than any poxy fleet fan however canvey would have a much better chance so give it up fleet and look forward to your matches with fords utd next year !!
Digger dagger digger dagger oi oi oi ! ! ! !!

actually 853 is our average and if i'm not mistaken thats not that far behind dagenham

and it may have been a 1 off but i don't see you ever getting a crowd of that many and your top (or 2nd) in the conferance by god you will struggle in league football as your boys are too busy making bloody fords!!!!......ooooppps its closed down

Good point Ryan, 4-500 when top of the league, to suggest they have outgrown Billericay is pure fantasy, any success on the field will only be temporary, I'd say Ricay's long term prospects were much better!

Vic, by writing that load of tosh you have all but admitted, what we all know, that Ricay are indeed a bigger club than Canvey and probably always will be!!!!!

Oh yes there a bigger club alright???

What have Billercay ever achieved? Answer hardly anything. Canvey have achieved more in the last 5 years than Billercay have in 100.
We are on our way to the Conference either this year or next year and if we get the new ground who knows how far we can go.

Billercay have gone as far as they can go right now.

We dont even consider you our rivals anymore. Gravesend certainly have that honour now.

Firstly, to the best of my knowledge, Mr. Crawshaw isn't a Billericay fan (although he is more than welcome to join us smile.gif" border="0 ) he follows Gravesend. Secondly What have Billericay acheived in the past 100 years? Well we've been in the same, or higher level of football as Canvey for nigh on all of them. (I could mention some ancient history and refer to 3 wembley (been there?) cup finals but I won't wink.gif" border="0 ) I think though, that the most salient point in the here and now is that despite being "all conquering" (apologies to G&N here) you only average a handful of fans more than us thorugh the gate. Considering we've had what can be described as a "disappointing season" (understatement of the year) you should frankly be embaressed that more people don't want to watch you play.
