Gravesend are probably more gutted than us with the results today. Grays at home had draw written all over it and Gravesend must have thought Basingstoke was a home banker.
Yellows are a point up on the day.

had draw written all over it ?? Having seen us beat Grays 2-0 2 or 3 weeks ago, they looked thoroughly outplayed, so I, for one, still thought Canvey would win today. Especially after they went ahead with an early goal.
Todays results have, in reality, made very little difference to the overall situation - we still need to win all our last 4 gif you win your last 3, so its as you were.
Nerves are clearly playing a major part on the run in and the team that holds their nerves the best will win out.
In fact, we have failed to score in 3 of our last 4, not our last 3 - we beat Harrow 3-0 in the middle of these games. But we have kept 3 successive clean sheets as well, and the opposition has rarely threatened us.
Still, a good battle between us and Braintree could hold the key as we play them away next Saturday and you play them away on the last day.
we should win our 2 home games against Hampton and Boreham Wood, but you too should win your home game against Sutton.
That would leave the crucial games as Braintree away for both of us and Basingstoke away for you and Bedford away for us. It really could go either way and will probably only be decided on the last day.

Well both teams missed a chance to move closer tothe title. Its almost a case of as you were. you still have to win your game in hand to go above us.
|think it may go right to the last game of the season. Now it looks like whos never will hold the best to take the title.
This is just to close to call. i think whoever goes into the last game with the advantage will win it.
