I had a chance meeting with former fleet manager chris weller who said that jakko had left the club after being told that he would not be captain this season and was unlikely to get many starts so nuff said

Sorry to say this but that is about as correct as the stuff Jacko puts on his fields in the spring! grin.gif

Look out for Paul Gibbs who was a trialist in tonights 5-2 reserves victory over Bishops Stortford. Left sided midfield/defender, very confident, skillful and experienced. No spring chicken, looks like he's been around a bit and is a bit hard! With our limitations on the left right now (Skins injured, Walshey unwell) he could be a prudent signing even though our squad is bigger than some 2nd Division sides!!!!

He's a full back aged about 30yrs and was released by Barnsley last month. Joined them last year after spending a few seasons with Brentford. Looks useful but how about a proven striker.... Rushdens' Duane Darby is up for grabs right now???

Well then, let's look into loaning him! We have no composure in set pieces, Andy Drury rarely starts a game, Ben Walshe is good, but he'll be gone at the end of the season, and there is not much good delivery to the strikers! Mind you, Ben Abbey's never in the box n e way. THERE'S ONLY ONE JIMMY JACKSON!

Dave is quite right, Jim was not allowed back here by D&R. has more to do with their poor league position than anything else. The loan is very much a "Get fit" exercise as due to a lack of reserves, Jim has had to turn out for the youth team in an effort to get match fitness! The foot injury he suffered was a one of those nasty ones that refused to "heal.". (sic)

So sorry to disillusion all those who think he is finished and washed up. It looks like he still figures very much in D&Rs plans!
