England - World Cup 2014

Looking ahead to the World Cup, although it is far away who would you pick for the World Cup team?

My choice:

Joe Hart; Fraser Forster; John Ruddy

Luke Shaw, Ashley Cole, John Terry, Chris Smalling, Gary Cahill, Steven Caulker, Phil Jones, Kyle Walker

Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Andros Townsend, Ross Barkley, Jordon Mutch or Will Hughes, Ashley Young, Leighton Baines, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott, Daniel Sturridge, Jermain Defoe

True, John, but it's nice to guess ;)

Hopefully Caulker, Mutch and Hughes will get a chance to impress Roy.  Heard that Liverpool might be bidding for Will Hughes in January (and interestingly for John, also heard Joe Hart to Chelsea).

Not sure about that !

Might not be a bad move - competition for Petr Cech and he's out of favour with Manuel Pellegrini.

Also, it's a chance to claim a starting berth at the World Cup.

What do members think of our World Cup draw made today, Uraguay, Italy and Costa Rica, it could hardly be worse could it and Luis Suarez must be licking his lips!

We finish top

Clearly we're going to struggle to qualify, it would have been even worse had we been drawn to play Costa Rica in the first game who will have already lost their first two games before we play them but even then they won't just lay down

Big J R - Not at all, I thought it was quite comical and Dyke didn't mean anything un-toward by his gesture following our group of death draw

At least he's a character unlike previous Chairmen of the FA

I can't disagree with that !

Apparently the cut throat gesture was aimed at Geoff Hurst who is employed by the FA and was part of the draw team, indicating that he could pick up his P45

Did you mean SIR Geoff Hurst, Rhodsey ??

The knighthood being more than Greg Dyke has been awarded so far !

Who had the misfortune of watching England's performance against Denmark last night, what chance have we possibly got in Brazil playing like that against your Italy's, Uruguay's and Costa Rica's!

I watched it.  Something and nothing, really.

Roy just testing some formations with new blood.

Looks like we've already lost one player with a 'broken' foot as he'll be out for at leats 6 weeks.

I can't say that I'm Jack Wilshere's biggest fan really, he runs around a lot and is a natural on the ball but that's about it really, he also comes across as quite arrogant
