Fuzzy Royal Posted December 11, 2013 Share Posted December 11, 2013 Well, its been a while since we've had a game called off because of fog, especially one that would probably have been played had the kick off been 8.00pm!! But seriously, the fog seemed to get very bad, then clear a bit and look playable and then get bad again. If the ref hadn't started it we would have complained, hes started it and stopped it, so we all moaned. Had he given it ten minutes and then continued the game (which he could have done as the fog had cleared by then) whichever team had lost would probably have complained that their players weren't properly warmed up after the break, lost concentration etc... Fair play to the ref, he gave it a go and then when it got bad decided it was unplayable. He tried and ultimately he is responsible for the safety of the players and he made a decision. had something gone wrong we would all be blaming him straight away. Personally I think he should have given it ten minutes, but that is tainted with hindsight the fans' point of view. Well at least it rests a few players, our unbeaten run continues and we get another trip to Cove!!!! ;-) Bring on Saturday and lets keep the run going Up the Lepers!!!
