Bit of brass in the bank

First our fantastic sponsorship deal and now a few bob from the FA up run, must be putting a smile on the old bank managers face.

Bet our sponsors "Gladwish Land Sales" are well pleased with the potential advertising.

Anyone interested in the Fa cup prize breakdown should go to:

Looks like we have already won £22500 by getting to the second round

Don't get too carried away, for those of you who weren't at the Director's forum last month, the predicted loss for this season without a cup-run was £50,000 - £80,000 so obviously this is helping.

We still need to increase the home gates though. Our next two home league matches are against sides who should bring a few to get the average up, but we still need to attract more home fans before we can start spending money.

This system of making people attend other matches prior to the Notts County game can, I believe have the effect of driving people away from the club, some fans can not make every home game and therfore would be excluded from this important match, also first timers could be put off by having to fork out an additional £20 prior to game. I think it would be better, if we sold tickets for this match inside the ground on the preceeding home games to regular fans prior to the FA cup game, thereby allowing true Fleet fans the chance of obtaining tickets and seeing the game, and newcomers can purchase there's on the day. We must improve our home gate averages and encourage new fans into the ground for every game, not try to take as much money of them as we can for one match. Who knows they may enjoy the day that much, we could see them every Saturday!
