I just hope that all those who disregarded the importance of the two clubs talking are now prepared to re-think their positions and put aside personal grievance for the sake of local non league football in Enfield.

As I said in an earlier post, I'm sure nobody wants blood on their hands.

We all know who caused this near fatality to occur.

EFC are now in ITU, the life blood is gushing away, and no one from ER, or Casualty, going to rush in and save the day.

It will soon be Easter, maybe there can be another resurrection, but reincarnation with ETFC, with the leaders on both sides so intransigent is impossible...

but then are both clubs now owned and run by the supporters? Y don't the supporters do something instead of whining on here?

I was not aware that the 'leaders' of ETFC were against talking about a merger. Did not the chairman of ETFC approach EFC recently with an offer of talks? EFC need the merger, ETFC do not and will soon be the dominant and more senior club anyway. A merger may strengthen the case for Enfield Council to find the club(s)a ground site

I reckon both will be in the Ryman next season.

ETFC to be promoted and EFC to survive the restucturing.

Even if EFC survive the restructuring, which I think will be difficult, where will they play next year. Borehamwood is surely too much of a drain on resources. What's the best value option at the required standard ['B' grade?]??

WOUld that send the right message/build any bridges with Enfield Council. If ROb and others get Cheshunt up to Ryman 'A' in time it will have an impact on the rent they are likely to seek. Near but maybe not cheapest?

You certainly are a tease young Steph!

I certainly do not mind EFC ground sharing with Brimsdown Rovers FC after we have got our own ground within the Borough.

Maybe they could then ground share with us?

u don't half talk bo££icks some times
ETFC have dropped too many home points to be promoted
EFC need more than Emmanuelle (hebrew= god with us) they need a bl**dy miracle to avoid relegation.

I can see ETFC/EFC and BRFC all @ the Brimmo next season!

(no I have not been drinking, to much this evening)

Southport.

ETFC are in a good position to retain the title, especially as we have the easiest run-in of the five top sides.

I believe EFC will finish in the bottom three of Div1-North....even so.the way most people are predicting the leagues to be restructed next season, that would still place them in the bottom Ryman league along with ETFC (presuming we go up).

As for EFC sharing Brimsdown next season.....Well it's going to be touch and go whether EFC start the season at all,and if they do the last place the'll go is Brimsdown.

Maybe there could be games at 1.00pm and 3.00pm on a Saturday and 11.00am and 1.00pm on a Sunday!

Do you think the pitch will be ok for October 2004 - May 2005? Will probably just get through September with some grass on it!

probably the bit about ETFC gettin out of the ESL; we didn't even win today!!

I still reckon Brimo wil have the best non-league ground in the boro; thanks to ETFC, so why can't EFC come along and share it.

as for the pitch, with the money from EFC we could improve the pitch; also stop the little tykes playing on it and make it a seniors pitch only.

right off to the pub!

1. ETFC didn't win today because the game was
called off....as you well know Southport.

2. The Regime at EFC wouldn't/couldn't allow themselves the embarrassment of using stands and facilities owned by ETFC.

3. If EFC did ground share...ETFC wouldn't recieve a penny,it would go to Brimsdown, and i doubt that they would spend any money on the pitch themselves.

4. you don't improve a pitch by allowing an extra team to play on it.

5.I doubt if the various authorities and leagues would allow three teams to share a ground (fixture nightmares...etc.)
