Having read the recent bout of Canvey fan bashing on this board and their whinging replies <p>I wonder what team/fans now constitutes the Man Utd of this division. By this I mean the team everybody wants to beat, ( be it due to the team/manager/arrogant fans )<p>I think it must be getting slightly closer in running between the Island ( I think mainly due to their success) and the Shots ( 'Cos our rightful place is in the Football League, not with you Mickey Mouse sides' fans..)<p>Or are the Fleet & Ricky also contenders. Or maybe it's some other bunch ???

shots have to be the man city.. big fan base but always losing out to close neighbours..

the fleet will be burnley.. good once a while back and moving in the right direction again..

canvey will be blackburn of course..

riccay have to be blackpool, used to be better than their neighbours but are now [****!!****].

Surely Canvey are Fulham - fat bloke nobody likes throwing money at a club nobody outside of their square mile gives a sh*t about?<p>Aldershot can be Leeds - Everybodies picking on us<p>Gravesend are Arsenal - will win the league.<p>Billericay are Liverpool (in my dreams) - started well but have faded badly in recent weeks. Actually maybe more like Bolton....<p>Harrow = Derby -might as well give up now.<p>Bedford Are Southampton - Shiny new ground (well fairly new in Bedford's case) but at wrong end of league. Everybody would be sorry to see them drop though like Soton.<p>Getting back to Chis' origianl point, who are the team Billericay want to beat? ... all those years of slating canvey for buying success and our very own billericay lay their hands on 6 million (yup a six and six zeros) quid to do the ground up...there we are scrabbling around for 100 grand of t.v. money and up there on the hill the boys in blue are rolling in it..

any chance we can have some left overs after you've finished the 8,000 all seater?..

actually what kind of ground does 6 mill get you these days anyone know?.. perhaps thats why the squads up for sale, old calder has lined up thr burnley squad to come in for next season...

Basildon Council hate Billericay.<p>What'll happen is they'll propose another site in Basildon and then we'll be known as Billadon United or Basericay Town.<p>And then we'll all have to travel to Basildon to see the team until we get chessed off with that and form a new Billericay Town FC to play in the Essex Senior League.<p>Typically it'll be another Basidon "We can't miss out on this oportunity, so we'll climb on the successful back of Billericay" Council **** up!!!
