I'm sorry kmj, but I think you're wrong. Rob.H played miles better than Ben Abbey, so exactly what game were you watching? The midfield didn't do too bad, and although the service wasn't that great, Ben Abbey could have made more of the passes that he actually managed to keep under control after his first touch.

 

Drury was playing well, and his corners weren't that bad, neither were his free kicks, so stop trying to blame the youngest member of the team for the foul ups made by someone who is SUPPOSED to be a striker. And besides, I think majority of people will agree with me when I say that Drury is a youngster with a lot of talent. I mean, he can play right across the midfield, but prefers to be out on the wing, where he can run at the defenders, and put the crosses in. Whether the strikeforce connects with the crosses is another matter.

My mate turned round and said on saturday that Ben Abbey was playing so bad that we may as well have stuck a broom up his a**e and played him as sweeper.

 

The only players that really played well on saturday were Wilko, and Macca, as he ran around and tried to do majority of the other jobs as well as his own. one minute he was in the middle of the park, the next he was at the back, clearing the ball and helping the defence.

 

Everyone knows that we need to get rid of Ben Abbey, and play Rob up front on his own, with Andy D slotting in behind him. This, i'm sure would make Pinns happy as well, as he could take a role in the midfield, which, if I remember rightly, is where he likes to play.

Perhaps neither of us were at the game FleetBabe and it was just a dream! On the rare occasion that Rob managed to head the ball rather than his marker it simply fell to another Shrewsbury player. I fundamentally disagree with you that we should play Rob upfront on his own. Teams are more successful with a striking partnership rather than a lone forward even if there may be someone playing behind him. As for Andy Drury I agree that he shows much promise but on Saturday (if you were really there) you have to admit that he was very poor. Hopefully this was a one off. If not I can see him being relegated to the super sub role he has achieved with much success so far this season.

Yes I was There. Drury did play well, and so did Rob H so don't diss them.

At the moment, until Louie gets given a chance, Rob is the only decent striker we have, coz ben Abbey is s***. why did we sign him in the first place?

Why doesn't fordy see that he needs Louie up front instead of Abbey. Oh i forgot, he's blind and stupid!

Ok maybe we don't play Rob upfront on his own but what about playing him and then Andy in the hole, as fleetboy suggested? That would work. There's no need to get sarky KMJ, i was just making a point, like i'm entitled to.

Oh my God, did I just agree with fleetboy? arghhhh!!!!!!

I believe that everyone did not play to anywhere near the standard they should have done on saturday, and seems that you are defending andy drury because he is "a young talent". Im not disagreeing with you on that but it does not make him exempt from criticism and he really didnt play as well as you make out. So from the last game every player needs to just make sure they are playing 110% at Tamworth because it is vital. Let drury play where he has been then get evans or pinnock up front with Rob H

Yeah, but everyone gave the ball away in the 2nd half, you can't just pin the blame on Andy. Ben Abbey gave the ball away more than he did. And Gordon, I know who you are. You might not remember me, but I remember you. RW ring any bells?

If we move Ben Abbey on to the bench, and give louie a chance to shine, then i reckon that we would do far better.

And yes, I am defending him coz everyone else seems to be dissin' him, and he is young nad has bags of talent. Bags more than Ben Abbey. So there!

Well, Daz, according to the BBC website, Curtis has just joined Barrow on a three-month loan deal - surprising that he is taking a step down the pyramid with such a good goalscoring record.

As for Quailey, the BBC match preview says that he is having a second medical with them after failing the first - so whether he plays against us tomorrow remains to be seen.
