KMJ, you might be right, but does it have to stand for Drury? Just because I think he's a good, talented, youngster, doesn't mean that I fancy him.

Even if I do, which i'm not saying i do or i don't, does that make my comments invalid. I've been going down the fleet for 7 years, and so i think my points might be valid?!

So on that argument from Fleetbabe does that mean the longer you have been watching the Fleet the more valid your views are what a great theory I have been watching since 1976 although during 1985-1988 period I was at Uni so saw more away games does this invalidate my validity or does it gain me extra validity because I was part of travelling fans forum

I've been a Fleet fan for nearly 40 years but I don't think my opinion is any more valid than anyone else. What I will say is that slagging off individual players on this forum is not the most positive way to support the club,weather you've been a supporter for 5 minutes or 50 years.

Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. It was early, and I wasn't concentrating on what I was writing.

The point that I was trying to make was:

If I did fancy Drury, Which I don't, does that mean that I can't stick up for him because I think he's got bags of talent? I agree with Ronnie, why do we slag off individual players on this forum?

You can stick up for Drury if you want,it's your opinion, but you have to respect that many of us don't think he was that amazing. Don't get me wrong he's a good player,but he didn't do anything special against shrewbury.

As for slagging of players it doesn't help,and i know that Evans used to read this forum and get upset about the negative comments,but there is a fine line between expressing an opinion about a player and slagging them of..

By the way,who is A.D then??And is it a concidence that in your signature you have 23..drury's number?!

I really don't want to get into a prolonged argument about this but I think saying that a certain striker (and I quote - from this thread in the last week) was s**t surely invalidates this point! We are all meant to be on the same team! There is constructive criticism and then there's just targeted attacks at individuals which don't help anyone - practice what you preach!
