Quote "Lets hope the island turns out in numbers" - are you planning to put 2 dozen players on the pitch, all wearing 1 to 11 then ?? :-)
As the island has palpably failed to turn out to support the team through this season ( only 800 or so at the final home game to choose just one game), its rather hopeful to think they will suddenlty turn out at this time, surely ??

As you posted your message at 5p.m. surely any true Canvey supporters would have made the long trek to Cressing Road to watch the last game of the season, and should you win the league, celebrate the fact in Braintree's clubhouse (infinitely more agreeable).

Whatever the result, good luck for next season wherever you are!!!!.

We allow him to wear it for one day a year, especially if a celebration is due.
Whatever happens today, my surgery will be swamped on Monday morning; I have both CIFC and G&N fans on my books. So best of luck to everybody, may the best team win but, in my 'non-football' way of thinking, the Ryman League is the real winner in having such a tight competition that has built up to such a nail-biting finish.
Enjoy your day - whatever team you support.
