glad you enjoyed it.

I enjoyed the result and like you say some great goals.

but I certainly did not enjoy some of the tackling to be honest,im surprised firstly that no one got a broken leg and secondly im surprised that only one player got sent off.

I share your surprise on both counts, but decided to focus on the positive.

Frimley Green 4 Horley Town 5

What a rollacoster that was. Horley kept taking the lead only for Frimley to come back at us.We went one nil up after two minutes after Frimley had hit the cross bar in the opening minute. We were leading three two at halftime but Fimley came straight out and scored to make it three three. In the end we won, a hatrick from Ashley and a great free kick on video. Some terrible over the top tackles from Frimley how the player that took Ashley out stayed on the picth I will never know. The player that was sent off stamped on our player started to walk of and stampled on him again!

Must say no flag on corner post and the bottom end goal posts lean back terrible and are not in line the Assistant noticed both but said nothing!

A great Christmas for us at Horley especailly for me a Horley win, West Ham win and Dedhill lost 0-5 what could be better!

I'll just say that 21 players being left on the pitch at the end was something I was surprised at!

Windsor 0-3 Molesey

I was hugely impressed by Molesey today. Strong all over the pitch, fast, fit, never gave us a moment to play our slick passing football and gave us a decent spanking.

I'll be very surprised if they don't win the league.

How refreshing Rother to read a non-biased and correct comment from a fan regarding their own team.

Molesey impressed me also Rother, and even the die hard Windsor fans who I spoke to in the bar after even agreed with your comments, infact there could not be any alternative view on yesterdays showing, except for one comment  ''we didn't turn up today'' !!!

Molesey were far superior in all departments, and agree with you, they are certainly title contenders over the few viewings I have seen of them lately.

I've now seen Cove, Ashford, Molesey and Spelthorne in recent weeks, and at this moment in time what I have seen, I tend to agree with you regarding Molesey.  The only team I'd like to assess is Camberley, so will be going to see them when they play one of the top teams.

Molesey are a very good team. very well organised, are very solid and tight at the back, infact the defence I have seen this season by a mile. They are always threatening having decent forwards and have a very hardworking, strong midfield with lots of energy.

Rother if you are honest, Molesey really dominated the game from the outset, and if they had scored 4 in the first half it would not have been unjust. 2 excellent saves by Windsor keeper, Windsor cleared one of the line, a most blatant penalty for Molesey which everyone must have seen bar the ref. (even agreed by supporters in the bar). Molesey also hit the post, whilst I cannot recall the Molesey keeper having to make any significant save bar his routine job, not forgetting a great save by the Windsor keeper in the 2nd half and notwithstanding the chances Molesey missed !

In my opinion, Windsor rarely really troubled Molesey altho' in patches they played a bit but not creating that much.

Overall tho' Rother, I think you'd agree it was a good game to watch between 2 good teams worthy of their league position and a credit to the CCL.

I like to thank the Windsor fans and officers for their hospitality. A clean, tidy ground, very well run, professional club with the makings of going higher in the leagues....oh and the pitch which looked immaculate helped for a good game of football.....money well spent !

I think I already used the expression "a decent spanking".

I think I agree with everything you say Bad Guy.

Thing is we have some very nice footballers all over the pitch and are capable of ripping most teams apart but they need a little bit of time and space to work their "magic". Close them down and there's not a lot of muscle in midfield to win the important battles and cut off the supplies for the opposition.

Molesey were not dirty or even particularly physical but they dominated us physically (if you see what I mean) and that's long been identified as a potential weakness for Windsor.

I don't even feel disloyal mentioning it on this forum for all to read, it's that obvious. But not all teams can do it because to close down rapidly you've got to be able to read the game, be very fit and disciplined and not fall into the trap of giving away stupid fouls all the time.

And yes, I think it was an enjoyable football match (up to a point) and one which, despite being outgunned Windsor did contribute to in a positive way - we kept playing football and trying to build our moves but just got snuffed out time and again when we got near their goal.

Molesey do appear to be the real deal this year.

I bet everyone probably thought it would be one of the relegated sides bouncing back this year, I know I did.

It is looking like one of the best title battles in recent years if Ashford and Cove keep winning too. I think Camberley are just a pace behind those three with less ability to break teams down.

I must admit I wasn't that impressed by Cove when I saw them but even that day they managed to win and their other results say that they haven't yet been affected by their decision not to apply for promotion.

Why should Cove be affected by not going for promotion,I still think there is a thing called Pride left in football, they obviously were not at Cove for the money,in the first place.Molesey have the ability to beat the Top teams, but do not perform so well against the lesser lights.

Smudge, I think E&E Rich was referring that it was ''possible'' players may leave Cove because of their decision not to go for promotion.... whether this is the case or not, they are back to winning ways after Saturday against an unpredictable Colliers Wood side, who on their day can be very dangerous.

Looking at Molesey results, you seem to have a point Smudge having lost to 3 clubs in the lower half of the league....could this be Molesey's achillies heel with Chertsey up next ?

E&E Rich I wouldn't class Camberley out of the running as yet, albeit I've only seen them once at the beginning of this season where they won but what a boring game.....but its all about winning I suppose !  Whilst I, and possibly others, do not like their style of football, it is certainly effective at this level and suits their type of players. Their ''Lump It'' style can be dangerous and difficult to defend, but all to predictable as they only know one way to play. If other teams are knowledgeable, they can defer their style, but it won't be easy !

As my previous post mentioned, they are the last of the big 6 to watch, so when they play a team equally in the top 6, I will see how they perform and judge accordingly.... and take my neck brace just in case  ;) !!!

11 defeats in row for Frimley now, Div 1 they come...

Good point Copa.  I've just been on their website which shows 9 (NINE) loses on the bounce !!!   Only one person to ask Duncs !  So Duncs whats happening at Frimley,  they are on free-fall?  Did I read a post mentioning senior players are taking over the management there ? (I stand corrected).

All sounds a bit disjointed and crazy, has the current manager left ?

Bad Guy,good point about Camberley, they do not do very well against the likes of Molesey,Cove,Ashford, losing to all 3 by the odd goal. That rules them out then, well spotted  ;)

Smudge, I mentioned when ''I'' see Camberley play against a top 6 side then I can make my own judgement on them because they are still in the running. Yes, whilst they may lose to the top teams (I wasn't at those games) they beat the so called lesser teams, where some others fail to do so, so wheres the difference, lose a game, lose 3 points irrespective who you play. ;)
