Proud to be a Canvey fan

Despite the heartache of today ive enjoyed this season more than any of my 25 years of watching football.

ive spent most of my 25 years watching that rubbish at Roots Hall, after attending a few Canvey games last season I became hooked on Canvey and non-league football.

I love the atmosphere at the games and would like to say a big thank you to all the Canvey fans and all other fans i have met this season. That also includes Gravesend. Your fans were excellent that I spoke to at the game. Well done today. Any team that gets 100 points deserves to go up.
Im hooked on Canvey for life now, no matter what they do im sticking with them.

The only disappointing thing is why dont more people from Canvey go and watch them? I travel from Southend along with a few others. lets home Jeff King and co can try to get a few more locals along next season.
Heres to next season Im looking forward to it already.

I came down to Canvey once, and suddenly got addicted... Bad thing im not looking towards when im 16 is paying full price for the tickets....... mad.gif" border="0 See ya next season lads, we did it yet again, winning the whole time, then in second, then staying in the BLOODY ryman league. Shame we couldnt of played Gravesend every match, we would of got further then wink.gif" border="0 hehe

Vic interesting topic there, now I've been mulling it over on who could go and stay, but none would really be surprising, here goes, Vaugn, Bennett, Tilson and Bodders, the later 2 being a heavy loss for CIFC.

Still I could be wrong and its only my oponion.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Jeff reckons 4 or 5 will leave. Who are they?
Well, we already know that Stimmo is off to Grays so that's one.
Tilly & Bods will most probably hang up their boots and take on coaching roles elsewhere.
Lee Boylan would be a heavy loss if someone snaps him up. Apparently he wants to go anyway!!!
The rest I think will consist of either:
Vaughan (although he's just signed a new contract)

Parmenter (doesn't seem settled here anymore)

Bennett (to bring in someone younger)

Cobb (It just hasn't worked oout for him)

Smith (I saw his face after being asked at Braintree)
The surprise candidates to go could be Duffy (Just for a new look) & Miller (didn't live up to eexpectations).
On the other hand there have been three players rumoured to be coming plus a couple of outside bets.
Jason Dozell, Justin Edinburgh & Scott Forbes are the three main ones with David Gregory (Neil's brother) and an un-named mate of JK's also in the fray.
Just rumours but some hold more truth than others.

I would like to say thank you to the boys for yet another great season, We can all look back and WHAT IF !!
G&N won the league and good luck to them in the Conference I hope we can be playing them again next season when we finally go up.
Lots of new faces and some surpising departures.
I hope for our sake that we keep Boylan but also feel that we as supporters know that he can p[lay at higher level of football without a shadow of a doubt.
Lets all look forward to another pulsating season.
Come on you YYYEELLLOOWWSSS !!!
You have done us PROUD and lets just get back in there and prove everyone wrong next season.
PS. It's time to get them Golf clubs out until the season kicks off again.
PPS. Whoever leaves and comes in we know we will still have a very strong squad.
