PREMIER DIVISION

2-1 Wembley v Oxhey Jets

The Wembley FC goal scorers were A.Witham and A.Dinham and the Oxhey Jets FC goal scorer was L.Armitt.

Wembley were by far the better team today and started the game with some great one touch attacking football and should have been four or five nil up at half time but they didn't take there chances how Y.Fehmi-Gil didn't score today I will never know. I.Bates watched from the stands today don't know if he is injured, resting the old legs or he has dropped himself but on what I saw from Wembley today I don't know who I would drop for him to come back into the Wembley starting eleven or maybe Mr Bates is starting to call time on his very long career we will just have to wait and see. Wembley's A.Witham looks a decent player with 13 goals in 17 starts so far this season.

Oxhey Jets only had only three subs today. L.Armitt took his goal very well but he skied a couple of good chances. Oxhey's tactis today were to knock the ball over the top of the Wembley defence for L.Armitt to run on to and caught off side that's all they did all through the game. S.Armstrong was involved in a lot of arguing with the ref and the Wembley players he needs to concentrate more on his game and the game for me as Oxhey Jets don't seem to have many attacking options at the moment. Think the Oxhey Jets left back is the smallest player I have ever seen :)

Wembley FC should finish in the top eight and Oxhey Jets FC will do very well to finish in the top half of the league from what I saw today.

The Battle of Roker Park

A football match broke out in the second half, sadly only involving 17 men after one of the most comical displays of match control I have ever had the dubious pleasure of paying for. Five Reds in the first half, two for goal saving handling, another couple after a mêlée of macho handbags, which made it 9 against 9 and a third when the Fosters Junior Adeoye couldn't  contain his enthusiasm and appreciation for the quality of the decision making.

Three penalties as well. At least one case of mistaken identity. Farcical.

Half Time Stotfold 1 Cockfosters 2

Final score Stotfold 4 Cockfosters 2

All this one needed was a dog on the pitch and a streaker. Cue that Benny Hill theme tune.

Presumably no issues with these Reds?

Fosters (the first Red), nope, quite a good save, pushing a shot up and over the bar. The second Red, the first for Stotfold, perhaps a little harsh, looked like it hit him on the line rather than the other way around, and probably the wrong culprit. The officials took an unacceptable length time consulting and conferring, and I suspect trying to even things up. Tough day at the office for the officials.

Wow ... Speechless! Who were the broxbourne goalscorers. Incey baby will have been buzzing over that result.

Another Bubble bursting over Hatfield by looks of things. My Tring source could be right with Jack Robbo Robinson going there as he apparently missed the warm up and turned up half an hour after kick off and in the mean time his centre half replacement had a mare and got sent off? I'll catch up with ash the cash in the week on site. Anything from WiseZola or TringKeith on that though?

Seems like all results worked in WGC favour though? But another great point for codicote, welwyn seem to struggle against them. Anything from that game?

Yep and we had two men sent off yesterday so we finished the game with 9 players.

Our players never give up.

See Ravel Morrison wannabe Carl Watson got a red ,who was the other? ... And who notched. Amazing where Royston,Aylesbury and Handwell have come from in just a few years from us.Who's the next side to push like them?

Think Hertford Town FC could hold there own at this level and they have the support and ground would also like to see Wembley FC come up.

Higlights of HERTFORD TOWN v COLNEY HEATH which was a great game. Colney must of thought they had the game won at 0-3 at HT but Hertford looked a different team in the second half. 3-3 via a penalty right on 90 minutes. The penalty decision was harsh in my book but others have said YES it was defo a penalty. Have a look on the replay from around 10m 0secs on the video and see what you think?

Great coverage. Colney's keeper at the end, tried his hardest to throw the ball into his own net.

What's to debate?

Got some personal abuse on Twitter (as usual) for confirming this pen from behind the goal.

I guess I'm bias but the video clearly shows Draper (CHFC No:5) pushing down on the head of the Hertford Town player attempting a headed shot on goal.

Anywhere else on the pitch is a foul so why not a penalty???

No surprise St.Mags representatives thought otherwise but then what do I know about rugby . . .  :P
