No rain has fallen since our last game that was played on the pitch, and there's a pitch inspection?

Having seen the state of it after Saturdays game I'm not surprised, but really this shouldn't be happening should it?

Has a feasibility study been done at any point? Would be interesting to know the in's & out's of what we are looking at.

I'm sure if there is a BIG plan it's something we can aim for and put cash towards but it would have to be left untouched as pitch money only.

The real problem is that every Saturday match postponed leads to a loss of revenue because Monday matches tend to lead to smaller crowds and less use of bar facilities.

We already have quite a backlog, and more postponements may mean 2 to 3 matches per week at end of season, with again lower crowds due to cost.

So although I imagine radical pitch relaying etc would be hugely expensive, in the long run it may make economic sense.

Are there any FA Grants available? Of course a 3G pitch would stop all this angst and also allow for regular use of the arena by many more community groups so increasing revenue streams etc.!!

Such a shame as this was the only Monday game I could make (Mondays otherwise being impossible for me to attend). The pitch was awful on Saturday with players from both sides finding it difficult to stay on their feet I was surprised the ref past it fit.

Suggestion perhaps a switch back to Tuedays might help a bit giving the pitch and the brave volunteers another day to recover and regroup?

Mind you the pitch is so far gone I'm grasping at straws.

It would be good to know how much to put this right to realise how unattainable that figure may be.

Everything is attainable it's just a matter of.

1, knowing the true cost

2, Getting solid support to make it happen.

3, Believing

The club had a lot of support but in very recent months a lot more of the loyal supporters and volunteers have disappeared. These are the ones that would help plan and support a long term project such as this but once again the club become ever more insular and isolated very much opposite to what it says it is trying to do.

I love this club and my true blue family but like many it don't feel like home at the moment.

We are a relatively small and used to be very closed knit club but that has changed for many reasons, shame because great things can be achieved by so few, who remembers clearing the snow off the pitch and car park just a few years back? Would that be possible now?

Some may scoff and get the hump with my comments but many ex posters and those that have never used this board know what I mean.

Ya I get what you mean.

Let's hope the weather & Ref allow this game to finally get played. 3rd time lucky and all that.

Pitch inspection at 2pm. Apparently if we cannot play, we have to go their ground instead.

That would be a bit embarrassing wouldn't it? I don't believe that's ever happened to us before
