We were soundly beaten at St Margaretsbury last night - thought they were excellent in the first half and punished us every time we lost the ball in a dangerous area.  We had a few chances of our own, but in truth it could have been worse than 3-0 at the break.  Best of luck to them in the next round.  It's only a mickey mouse cup anyway  :P

Yeah Bowa does love a battle.  Don't think we played as well as we can last night, but the level of pressure you put us under in the first half made it difficult for us.  You've got Codicote in the Semis haven't you?  They are on a good run at the moment and they have a lot of experience too, so that should be a good battle.

I thought we created enough chances to be further ahead at half time but you guys defended well.

 

It was only 3 very good goals in the 1st half that opened you up.

 

Yes we have them in the semi final and are looking forward to it.

Firstly would like to introduce myself as I am very new to this so bare with me if I struggle to find my way around. Been meaning to get signed up for ages but never had the computer skills to do so!

 

I thought my first post would be about the Hertford Town FC vs Leverstock Green Semi Final I attended last night. Wow. Is this really the standard this league has dropped to? I mean the quality on football last night was so poor and not to mention the fans. Maybe that is a bit harsh as there was a couple of fantastic goals from the Hertford players but even so the passing and all round quality was below par. Not to mention the fans, well just when I thought I'd seen it all, last night I witnessed over 25/30 overweight drunks singing and chanting with the least creativity I have ever witnessed. I mean come on.. get a grip just enjoy the game. Saying that the club itself wasn't too bad and they had some lovely Pukka Pies on offer which I didn't need to be asked twice about. 

On that note I look forward to spending lots of time in this forum discussing the SSML with you guys and wish Hertford Town FC all the best in the final they reached last night.

Are people not allowed to sing at games then? and its just a thought but maybe those 25/30 overweight people did enjoy the game?

Alright blimey was only saying what I saw Savagebee I didnt mean any disrespect. Mind you it was a much greater atmosphere than that of St Margaretsbury FC a couple of weeks ago. Can hear a pin drop in that ground. What a waste of a club they are. Which brings me back actually, I was having a nice curry with the wife and kids a while ago in Hertford when I saw the St Mags manager stumbling around the town with a few of their players with beers in hand. I heard rumours he is a bit of a party animal?

Wasn't having a go at you No1Spartan. Im not a big drinker so I no that drunk people at games can at times be annoying.
