Wednesday 28th January – Kick Off 7.45pm

DIVISION ONE

Southall v Edgware Town

At the moment the weather looks sh*t for Wednesday they should move this game to Tuesday as the weather looks ok for Tuesday according to the BBC weather forecast.

we should play at theirs, would give the pitch a rest and play the return game in warmer weather.

I have no issues with this if ALL parties (teams and officials) are in agreement

England's Number One get the game moved to tomorrow as I cant see it happening on Wednesday.

Surely another poor decision by the SSMFL. Karen can you shed light?? Don't edgware town have a brand new 4G pitch that can be used in weather like this. With both teams having to play each other home and away still why not switch the fixtures round????? Why does there have to be full agreement by all parties????

Because it was less than 5 days before the date of fixture

Actually league rules require that clubs are given 7 days notice of a change of fixture - hence I said I was happy that if all parties agreed I would change it but neither club contacted me.

Should have played it yesterday.

Did Southall contact Edgware? If they didn't then that's their fault. If Edgware said no, then that's their perogative, nothing the league could have done to enforce at short notice.

The issue with the pitch for Southall pitch is a farce.

Sounds like the Afc Dunstable vs Barton Rovers game was a good one! Watch Dunstable a few times this year, great outfit!

Yes went to the wire. Matched the Southern League outfit all the way and they equalised in the 94th minute to take to penalties. Our pens were crap though.
