Vanarama Conference club AFC Telford United have made two new signings in Danny Ventre and Glenn Matthews.

Twenty-nine-year -old midfielder Ventre (pictured) who was a free agent after his release from Irish League side Derry City.

He joins the Bucks on a deal until the end of the season.

The tough-tackling midfielder, who also played for Sligo Rovers and Accrington Stanley, played in a behind closed doors game on Saturday and impressed enough to earn a short-term deal.

Matthews joins on loan from Sky Bet Championship side Bolton Wanderers.

The 20-year-old, who is a product of the Championship club’s academy, has joined the Bucks on a month’s loan.

Matthews stepped up from the academy to the Wanderers' development squad last season but missed the final third of the last campaign after injuring the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, as well as tearing cartilage.

He underwent surgery in April and was out of action until fairly recently returning to training.

Matthews, who was born-and-bred in Bolton, features primarily as a right-back and will boost Telford’s left side of the team.
