Retford United have held an emergency meeting this week in their first steps to stabilise the club after a dramatic few days at the Jones

Chipsted Football Club, from the Ryman's South, have moved swiftly to replace Steve Baker who has moved on to the Ryman Premier team Harrow Borough.

 

They have appointed former Horsham, Redhill and Worthing manager Simon Colbran who impressed the committee with his experience, enthusiasm and knowledge. Simon will be taking former Rye Utd manager Scott Price with him as his assistant.

The club stated, "We are all looking forward to working with both of them."

With regards to the departure of Steve Baker, the club graciously stated, "All the committee at Chipstead Football Club wish Steve well. It was an opportunity he could not turn down which the club understood. We all departed on the best of terms and he will be welcome to visit anytime."
