Maidenhead Chairman Backs The Boss

Magpies' chairman Peter Griffin believes Johnson Hippolyte is right to show Reece Tison-Lascaris the exit door at York Road after the player's petulant sending off against St Albans City.

Griffin said he backed the manager's decision adding that Drax calls the shots when it comes to squad decisions.
Tison-Lascaris was told he'd never play for Hippolyte again after the player was given his marching orders for a petulant little kick at James Kaloczi during Saturday's 1-1 draw with St Albans City.
Griffin added the decision to let Tison-Lascaris go was a real shame for the player, and for the club.
"Off the field Reece is a lovely fella," he said.
"You couldn't find a more respectful young man. But he was given a final warning after his sending off against Concord Rangers earlier this season.
"It's a real shame but there comes a time when there can be no second chances."
Griffin added: "This isn't a one-off incident. Drax has invested lots of time in Reece and helped him develop. He's not taken this lightly because we thought we could have a future star on our hands."
Tison-Lascaris' red card was the second of a feisty affair on Saturday, after City's James Comley was sent off for an off-the-ball altercation with DJ Campbell in the fifth minute. Dave Tarpey put United in front from the resulting free-kick, but former Magpie Michael Malcolm levelled in the 35th minute.
Unless there are 'unforeseen circumstances', Griffin added that Hippolyte would hold onto the manager's job until the end of the season at least.
"It's not been clicking for us but this is the best squad we've had in a number of years, and there are very fine margins between having an average season and a brilliant one," he said.
"I won't make a change during the season – unless there are unforeseen and exceptional circumstances.
"There are often a few vocal supporters who call for a change after a bad run, but generally it doesn't work out best for a club to do that, so we'll take a longer-term view.
"With Drax there's no clock ticking down or anything like that."
United host Concord Rangers at York Road on Saturday.
Earlier this season the sides played out a 2-2 draw in the away fixture.
