Badgers look for stabilityColwyn Bay Looking to End Winless Run

Retford United have held an emergency meeting this week in their first steps to stabilise the club after a dramatic few days at the Jones

COLWYN BAY have the chance to complete a league double over play-off contenders Hednesford Town at Llanelian Road on Saturday (3pm) as manager Gus Williams looks for his side to end their 10-game winless run.

The Seagulls won 2-0 at Hednesford in October, with goals from Rob Hopley and Obi Anoruo, and although the two sides have experienced contrasting fortunes since then, Williams believes his side can turn their faltering form around.

"The players are very positive and the application in training has been 100 per cent. We're looking now to take that into matches.

"Due to the weather we've only played twice in the four weeks since Frank left and it is important we get some momentum going and start picking up points.

"Hednesford (who have lost just once in their last nine games and were 3-1 winners against Gloucester City in midweek) are fifth from top and we're fourth from bottom, but I don't think this game will reflect that gap in league positions. Hednesford have already highlighted that they are expecting a tough game and we have to make sure that is the case."

The Seagulls will have loan signing Michael Wilson making his long-awaited debut in defence and Tom Buckley is also in the squad after returning from Salford, but Jack Truelove has returned to Oldham Athletic after his short loan spell was wrecked by a knee injury.

Moustapha Saiel is now fit to resume playing after knee surgery and skipper Marc Williams is the only player in the squad currently unavailable due to injury.

Colwyn Bay (from): Sanna, Rees, Taylor, Moss, Wilson, Lea, Royle, Noone, Buckley, Anoruo, Hopley, Baynes, Bove, Saiel, Haywood, Hodgson, Seddon.
