Knaphill v Badshot Lea definitely on,after a bit of hard work by the Groundstaff and volunteers. What happened to the good old days when a dusting of snow,or maybe a puddle or 2 was never a problem.Everyone has either got Lazy,or have become over protectionists.Epsom Ath have a genuine excuse, the Fire Brigade flooded their pitch, whilst putting out the Fire.Do any clubs have water pumps,I ask myself,or even a few buckets of sand?

Which club were you helping to get their game on today Smudge?

Having left chez voice prior to the 1236 post, I got a pretty good look at a pitch with no standing water and in better than doubtful nick at Knaphill. Yes, appearances CAN be deceptive, but it looked like an odd call to me, unless somebody knows of seismic activity, asteroid warnings or some other act of God that put the mockers on an afternoon's footy, this was a strange one. Happy to be put right.

Anyone venture a guess or someone can translate the last post???

Sorry, it's in English, not smart arsed fookwit...I'll do you a translation if it helps. You must have thought that was dead a clever comment at 3 A.M. ! ( But then if you think that's a clever comment, you're clearly more of a fighter than a "finker".) If you're going to try to be funny, it helps to be, well...funny. That wasn't.

Johno,Knaphill posted on their Twitter with a pic GAME ON, I then posted on here Game On Voice took this in good faith and ventured down to watch the game,to find NO GAME ON.In his opinion the Pitch was not waterlogged, and in reasonable nick, for a game to   take place, his post above makes sense to me,maybe you could explain why the GAME WAS OFF.

I think he means in his opinion the game should of been played........but don't quote me on that cos i don't understand all this god talk

SPOT ON DUNCS,he did try a bit of humour in his original post, which went over johnno's head. Was there an impending Eartquake forecast, down Redding Way,no asteroids unfortunately, maybe the Ref had a touch of the Haemoroids, which would explain NO GAME ON.Await Johnno's reply with interest!!!!!

I can't quote what reasons the referee gave for calling off the match cos I wasn't there but.....

From the sidelines the pitch looked great and clearly you can see where the club did their best to get the match on , but sadly, a downpour around 12.20 and the drainage issue we have currently down in one corner put paid to that. We trained off the pitch from 2-3.30pm and I had a look and a stroll on the pitch and you can see we why the ref made his decision.

It must be something to do with the time of year, OR the time of the month.
