Robert Dyas League Cup, Quarter-Final.

Monday 16 February 2015, 7:45pm.

A quick look at The Leafe's cup run:

The weather forecast, on both the BBC and Met. Office sites, both suggest the Billericay will have rain from 4pm-ish and it'll continue for most of the evening.

The pitch looks a state but with the ground staff working on it, and weather permitting, who knows how it will look come Saturday.

Town were 4 up in 26 minutes and Whyteleafe pulled one back with a great shot before half time.  They really fought hard in the mud and pulled it back to 4-3.

Rowan opened the scoring, Harry scored his first since Hendon before his free-kick was deflected over the keeper for 3 and Pooley rifled one in for the fourth.

Harry scored his first since Leatherhead.

First of all a great effort by the ground staff to get the game on, and a great team effort to win.

Only having 1 defender in the whole squad it was always going to be tough, but onto the semi finals we go.

Pitch should get a couple of dry days to dry out a bit, so fingers crossed for the weekend

Having just watched the highlights from the cup game and from the clip it showed water holding on the surface and big patches of glug that the players were wading through.

Fair play to the ground staff but I shudder to think how bad (or not?) the pitch was for the other games to be called off?

A round of applause must go to both teams, coaching staff and officials for having the balls to play the game.

:applause:  :applause:

COYB!!
