What Now, Folks?

Once Horley had inevitably fallen by the wayside, I had to find an alternative means of giving Mrs Voice to be her one day of peace. Swallowing my pride, I went on a fact finding mission and watched Tooting Bec get trounced 5-1 at home by Virginia Water. Zero cover options as the chill wind bit was not exactly to my liking, but even playing tippy tap, it was clear that Virginia Water had a few decent players on show.

Having been basking in the heat of Mauritian sunshine less than a week earlier, I'd taken the precaution of a few layers of clothing...a wise move, though I say so myself.

The warmth of Tooting and Mitcham's bar was most welcome at half time and a spot of push and shove between the rival benches threw in a bit of comedy too.

Good value for nowt and if there's no football on, it serves a purpose and is much cheaper than shopping.

I was there too. Ex Spelly Scott Chisholm (?) (no 4) caught the eye I thought.

Lammas 1-1 Cobham

Difficult conditions today, both had good chances, we scored a great goal by Ben Jacob, who at the minute along with Liam Stone has been our most consistent players over the season.

Fair result.

Quite frankly, the worst game I have seen in the CCL or anywhere else for that matter. As Rother put it, a game devoid of quality. Windsor's goals came from defensive howlers and Knaphill's goal was a decent strike. As good as the game was at Knaphill earlier in the season, this one was garbage.

Windsor 2-1 Knaphill

Well that was a game devoid of quality.

But 3 points is 3 points, Rother !!

I agree with you JR bit it won't have the fans flocking in their droves. It was up there with watching horse racing on tv while the course is shrouded in fog.

And another thing, we have an excellent playing surface so why persist in lumping the ball 50 feet in the air? As Cloghie once said, if football was meant to be played in the clouds he would have planted grass in the sky.

Frimley Green 0 Camberley Town 3

Not a great game but persistence proves that you can get the points as camberley never gave up, scoring 3 goals late on. If points were given for continually moaning at the referee then frimley would be clear of relegation trouble! Thier goalkeeper and number 8 rightfully got booked for continually shouting at the ref whilst trying to get camberley players booked or sent off!! If they concentrated on Thier own game I'm sure the new players bought in will help them stay up!!!

Agree that it was not a good and teams looked pretty even except Camberley kicked the ball higher. Poor performance by both teams although I thought it was a gutsy performance by Frimley to hold out for so long but their fitness did them in the end.

I take it Farcical that you must be a Camberley supporter as you must of listened to the game through 'rose tinted ears'. One of the main reasons it was a poor game was that both sets of players were constantly at the referee. Not saying that the two Frimley players did not deserve their yellow cards but surprised that no Camberley players got a yellow especially the Camberley no.3 with his very colourful language (everything started with f--k off). I've seen players sent off for saying a lot less than that.

Our match report from the 2-1 win over Hartley Wintney is here.

http://www.eefconline.co.uk/LCN141.html

Hartley shaded the first half and we edged the second half until going behind, after which time we were rampant and I feel deservedly winning in the end.

We were definitely slow out of the blocks though and that is not a good game plan for Camberley tomorrow or Molesey on Saturday.

Interesting comment higher up about the new players keeping Frimley Green up. Above who exactly?

I was with some people at the game and the language was not good. Referees have it in their power to stop this swearing etc but they choose or are instructed not to. I don't propose going back in time where no bad language was allowed but the abuse dished out these is unacceptable.

If referees took the action they should take in a very short time things would improve. Maybe the FA should focus on something that will improve football for all concerned rather than focussing on things are really aren't important !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My comment wasn't about the bad language which I agree with needs to be curtailed and yes the camberley number 3 has a problem boardering on Tourette's!!!! My issue is with opposing players more concerned about getting players booked or sent of rather then playing football!!! And yes I am a camberley supporter, as too who Frimley finish above doesn't concern me I mearly stated the way they played (when not shouting at the ref) should see them avoid relegation.
