It has been announced earlier today that Lewes Football Club manager Garry Wilson, assistant manager Danny Bloor, and first team coach Danny Lightwood have stepped down by mutual consent.

The Rooks, who are currently 19th in the Ryman Premier table, host Dulwich Hamlet tomorrow evening, before entertaining Town on Saturday afternoon.

See that Lewes put their off-field troubles behind them last night when they beat high-fliers Dulwich Hamlet 1-0 at the Dripping Pan, in front of a crowd of 480. The winner was scored in the 79min by Elliot Romain. We know how good Dulwich are, so a very impressive result and welcome useful three points  for The Rooks, as they battle to move up the table. Be prepared for a hard match on Saturday.

A couple of bits of news from down here on the south coast.

It has been raining virtually non-stop for the past 24 hours, in this region, and there is little sign of it letting up at the moment. Lewes have arranged an early pitch inspection for 9.00am tomorrow morning, but if you view the picture of the Dripping Pan posted on their website and our own, it looks very waterlogged and unplayable. With more rain forecast, think there is little prospect of this match going ahead tomorrow.

Shame! We always look forward to mixing with our friends at Lewes.

Good to see this Lewes fixture has now been scheduled for Wednesday 25th March. KO 7.45pm.

A few days earlier Town visit East Sussex on Saturday 21st March to play Peacehaven & Telscombe who include Jamie Brotherton (remember him?) in their squad.

Two attractive matches in prospect.

  • 4 weeks later...

Another trip down to East Sussex for Town on Wednesday for the re-arranged Ryman Premier Division fixture against Lewes at The Dripping Pan.

The Rooks lost at home to Leiston on Saturday, while Town were winning a short distance away at Peacehaven.

Lewes and Peacehaven have similar home records this season and, after Saturdays battling performance, Town will definitely fancy their chances of winning this match.

Real  shame I can't make this match, but I fly out for a weeks sunshine break in Tenerife early tomorrow morning.

Very best of luck to Brad and the lads. Let's deliver another top draw performance guys!

'COME ON YOU TOWN'

When one winning run ends you just start another winning run.
