Saturday 28th February Match Thread

Sorry Rother but you are getting a little boring.  With the budget and support your lot should be romping this league however you are not.  You should stop making excuses and admit you are not good enough instead of using pitches and style of play as an excuse for your failings.

WTF's got into you sunshine? Oh of course - I said I don't like your style of play. Am I not allowed to have a preference for what I watch? If you look back you'll see I wished Camberley luck and hope they do go up in preference to Molesey.

Read my comments again. When we are shite I say so. We were shite today. No excuse offered.

The supporters aren't allowed to play in case you hadn't noticed so the number we have doesn't make a lot of difference to the results.

And we don't have a playing budget you fool.

Worcester Park 1 Staines Lammas 0

I was happy to take in any proper football on a day like this and not a bad day out either. Rather surreal start when the fairly routine event of buying a programme prompted the response " It'll end up on ebay" from a passing wag (or similar!)

A perfectly playable pitch and a game that wasn't too bad at all. It could have been a whole lot better, but I suspect others who attended might make reference to who/what might have been responsible.

Not a fan of two bob cups when there's fixtures piling up, but it got me out from under Mrs. Voice's feet, so she was most pleased.

Me? A wag?  :D

Rother.  I don't have an issue with you or your club.

I am expressing an opinion in the same you have.  You are entitled to one and so am I.  You say no playing budget I disagree,.  Because you say no budget I do not call you a fool  I am expressing an opinion different to yours.  Does that make you a fool ? I am not sure it does.  It is purely a difference of opinion.

You say I am a fool and I say you are boring with your excuses.  So be it.  Perhaps we will always differ in our opinions.  Perhaps we will not.  Only time will tell.

Kroons You really gotta stop winding people up you devil

Mate I don't need too.  they have their opinion and I express mine and because of that they get all upset and annoyed.  Blimey if I took that attitude with some of the stuff posted about me and the club I follow I would explode :)

Hope you are well mate :)

Windsor/Rother never give excuses, just true honest opinions,Frimleys playing surface is hardly Wembley,Windsor were missing key players,Lazachuyk for one, they are not the same team without him.Rother did praise Frimley and wished them well. And you mentioning budgets lessens your case, bet Windsor would like to be £1 behind Camberleys.

Windsor were terrible today. The pitch didn't suit us of course but dear oh dear we never looked like scoring. Very young team with our 2 most experienced players not in the squad. Men against boys to be honest.

Played 2nd half with a 16 year old playing up front who is still very green and not a physical presence. In fact finished with 5 teenagers and 10 men due to an injury with all subs on from about 80 mins.

Well done Frimmers who looked solid and, as suggested last week, should pick up a good few more points before the season is finished if they stay together.

Sorry the pitch wasn't up to your liking today! As for young players and men versus boys. I've got to laugh at that when I consider the age of our players. At least 3 were teenagers. Our first sub has just turned 17 about two weeks ago and the second sub is 16 along with at least one other player in the squad.

By your normal standard I thought you were poor for some reason and we did ok.

Had a nice chat with one or two of the Windsor committee and a chat with a few followers. All a nice bunch

Come on Kroons, you know the reason you did not win today was the Westfield keeper lol.

I had a terrific time at Camberley today and the hospitality and friendliness of the Camberley massive is just unbeatable.

The game was played in great spirit with both teams working hard. Camberley created more chances than Westfield but Westfield were absolutely dogged in defence to keep them at bay. On the occasions that Camberley broke through, Stuart Norman in the Westfield goal had all the answers. Westfield could have nicked 3 points when they had a shot cleared off the line from a Camberley defender and a late shot put wide. A credit to both teams for the way they battled in such good spirit and kept the game a clean and tidy affair. The ref had a reasonable game as well and played the advantage on many occasions instead of just keep stopping the run  of play. Another really nice touch was to see the Camberley juniors present as ball boys today. I personally think every team should encourage this as to those young lads the senior players are stars and that is what they are hoping to aspire too. Thanks for the pint too Krooner, I only wanted a half lol

That can't be right.

We are actually a highly arrogant bunch. :)

And Craig, laugh all you like re men v boys - that was what it looked like at times to me. Your youngsters were better than ours yesterday I guess!

After the comments last week it's also worth mentioning that the game was played in a pretty decent spirit and I didn't detect any particular whingers amongst your lot.

Maybe Camberley just bring out the worst in other teams.... ;)

Great to see you Kroons and thanks for the Bovril!

I would agree that Camberley had more opportunities, but only once was Stu called in to making what I would describe as anything other than a routine stop.

Agree with Jellybean that both teams worked really hard and we could definitely have nicked a goal during some first half pressure or late on when Adam Beale pulled his shot wide after Rob Parrott had done very well down the right.

Nice people at Camberley, very hospitable and a decent crowd.

Ball boys were excellent - they're Mark Anderson's under 12s and are a really good side. My son played against them twice this season and they have a bit of everything.

Anyway, another good point for us.

Windsor tried ball boys once in the pre-season friendly against Slough but gave that idea up as they obviously hadn't been properly trained and one got flattened (or took out 2 players whichever way you want to look at it) when moving forward to collect a ball he thought was going out of play!

Bit of a heart stopping moment that was.

I thought the Cambo ball boys were very good too. ANYTHING that gets the kids down regularly has to be good for future development and indeed crowd numbers.
