Scarborough Athletic are proud to announce that the club has linked up with the Royal British Legion to offer its members reduced admission to Queensgate for all home matches for the remainder of this season and into the 2015/16 campaign.

The Royal British Legion provides help and welfare to the serving and ex-Service community and their families, with local branches based in Scarborough and Bridlington.

Members presenting their current membership card at the turnstile can now enter the ground at the reduced rate of £5 for Adults and £3 for Concessions to enjoy an afternoon out at the football.

Chairman of the Bridlington Royal British Legion branch David Standaloft is keen to see as many RBL members from the local area taking advantage of the admission discount.

He said: "We're thrilled to announce this offer with Scarborough Athletic and hope it will encourage more clubs to do the same.

"It is a chance for our members to enjoy an afternoon out at the football at Queensgate at a reduced rate and to cheer Boro on as they look to stay in the race for the play-offs."

Boro Chairman Dave Holland was pleased to offer the discount to Royal British Legion members.

“The Royal British Legion do fantastic work to support the serving and ex-Service community, so we are delighted to give something back by offering a discount to current members.

The collection held for the Poppy Appeal at our FA Trophy match back in November shows how important our supporters see the work of the Royal British Legion, so we hope a few members will take advantage of the discount and come along to Queensgate.

Membership of the Royal British Legion is open to everyone; you don't have to have an Armed Forces background.

For just £15, members can get involved with a network of people who care about Armed Forces personnel, ex-Servicemen and women and their families. It also allows you to show your support for the fantastic campaigning work done for the Armed Forces community both locally and nationally.

The Royal British Legion held a collection at Queensgate for the FA Trophy game against Darlington back in November to raise money for the Poppy Appeal, with over £500 collected during the afternoon.
