Spennymoor Town manager Jason Ainsley has been reunited with goalkeeping coach Barry Farr after his replacement Carl King left the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club on Monday night.

The Moors, who host Shildon in a Durham Senior Cup quarter-final at Brewery Field on Tuesday night, appointed former Celtic Nation, Blyth Spartans and Whitley Bay coach King, pictured, last summer in the wake of Farr's departure after five years working alongside Ainsley.

In a statement released by the First Division North club, Ainsley said: "We have decided to part company with Carl and would like to thank him for all of his efforts since he came to the club.

"We would like to wish Carl every success in his next post. On the back of that I am delighted to welcome Barry Farr back to the club with immediate effect."

Farr, who was coaching the keepers at Durham City before switching to the Moors, is a former Northern League keeper who is known for keeping the troops entertained on the road. On a flight back from Guernsey he once disappeared into the toilet only to re-emerge in full air stewardess outfit complete with blonde wig!
