Enfield Town v Leatherhead

There's only one place to be this Saturday afternoon, if you love non-league football, and that's down at the QE2 Stadium, Donkey Lane, where Town entertain in-form Leatherhead who are currently eighth in the Ryman Premier Division table, three points ahead of Town who have two games in hand.

Town produced a great team performance last Saturday when they beat second in the table Margate 3-0 away, in a tightly contested match, and will be looking to build on that result against the Tanners.

Back in September we deservedly beat Leatherhead 2-0 at Fetcham Grove, and we can expect another tough test in the return encounter. All to play for and Town need all three points again to remain on course for the season finale.

It should be quite a match, with a decent size crowd and a great atmosphere. The Belgians are coming over, so let's all get down there to welcome them, and give maximum vocal backing to Brad and the boys.

Good luck everyone. Let's do the business guys!

Well done everyone this was a great day for the club, and an occasion Towners will remember for a long, long time.

It was a decent match, our players put in a good hardworking performance to secure three points, but on Saturday it was the fantastic atmosphere created by our supporters and our friends from YB SK Beveren that made it a very special day, before, during and after the match.  I doubt any other clubs, certainly at our level, enjoy the special relationship we have with the Belgians. Their support and enthusiasm was absolutely amazing!

FAB-U-LOUS !!

The replacement Linesman had lot of close off-side decisions to deal with.Mainly because of Leatherheads tactic of playing a high line and constantly playing the offside trap.I believe he gave more close decisions against the Town than he did for us.I can only think of one tight decision that maybe went against Leatherhead and that was when Devyne ran clear for the third goal..Town were already winning comfortably against 10 men and in control of the game at the time.

The Leatherhead manager could be in trouble for seeminly questioning the integrity of an official. (replacement or otherwise)

Bobby Devyne's goal looked offside to me, other than that the replacement lino did a reasonable job.

It has to be said that the manager was right that the lino should surely have taken the position that Enfield were defending rather than attacking but maybe the ref wanted a more experienced man there next to the Leatherhead bench.

The manager at Peacehaven was also diabolical on some of the comments he was making. At one time the ref blew for a foul against Peacehaven close to the club house touchline and the manager claimed that he got it wrong when he was over 50 yards away. With that kind of leadership it is no wonder that Peachaven surrounded the ref on almost every decision. Credit to the Town they stayed well out of it and, generally, let the ref get on with his job. It is that discipline that Brad and his coaching team have brought to the side.
