Westfield must be kicking themselves for the spurned chances tonight. The first five or so minutes looked a bit shaky from both sides until Westfield took the reigns and settled down into playing some good football. Westfield always looked the more likely to score and indeed scored first from a quality move. The ball started from the back with a dead ball kick from the keeper and a succession of quality passes taking the ball out to the right wing where a great cross seemed to go through several players until almost at the back stick Westfield slotted home. As a spectator the feeling was that Westfield were dominating and a few more goals were on the cards. Unfortunately it was not to be as Westfield continued to dominate but lacked that final venom to put the game to bed. Several times some quality play saw the ball going out to the wings but on many occasions the final ball into the box lacked the quality of the build up.

Westfield also had several more chances when players were on a run into the box, and a bit more belief in front of goal instead of trying to pass it in would have been more beneficial. It was in the second half that Raynes park caught Westfield on the break and scored the equalizer. The way that the game was going it was always on the cards as Westfield should have put the game beyond reach by now. It was a shame to come away at home with just 1 point as the game was there for Westfield to win and but for a little more quality and composure in and around the box it should have been an easy three points. Raynes Park had a chance to steal the three points at the death, but a well placed Westfield keeper denied them the opportunity from a last gasp free kick. On a final note I would like to congratulate all three officials tonight for a solid performance and for letting the game flow when a more eager ref would have been blowing his whistle. Come on you Westfield !!!!!!!

Should I say nothing??????

F@ck it.... I will.

Yes well done Frimley. If knaphilll could finish our dinner, it would have been all over after 20 mins and the score line more like 6-2 instead of 1-2.

3 one on ones missed, a miss from 6 yds, a clear miss from 10 yds, 300 corners, and I have prob missed something. Frimley were not 'good' but took their only two chances. A debatable penalty and their Only sight on goal late in the game.

We have zero confidence in front of goal but at least we are creating!! It's still in our hands and we are still not in the relegation position .... Yet.

We'll have to do it the hard way!!

That could be a carbon copy report of the game we played there recently. :)

To be honest Chris, I think that Westfield will be a pretty fair team with a bit more confidence in the final quarter. I don't know whether they need to add to their strike force or just some man management over the forwards they have to instil some confidence. I think the new management are doing a great job and have every confidence they will sort this problem. They seem to be be building a good team for the future and I think next season will be a good one for Westfield !!

As I've said many times, always enjoy games at Westfield.

Already thinking about next season and who might spring a surprise at the top!

I'm really disappointed tonight. We should have beaten RPV, but fair play to them they kept going and our profligacy came back to haunt us.

Still, that's one loss in 11 games, so can't complain too much. We've asked a lot of a fairly small squad and they've done really well. 27 points up for grabs still this season and we'll be trying our best to win every single one of them.

That's 4 on the bounce!

A victory over Knaphill 2-1.

The whole game in my view was scrappy.

Neither team really excelled.

Knaphill had one or two chances first half but didn't really trouble our keeper.

We were all over the shop...

Second half I felt we were more in the game and looked better going forward.

We won a penalty which we stuck away and then gave a goal away against the run of play at the time. Tbh it could have gone either way after this but we closed a loss cause and the ball fell to baker and he rolled the years back and finished well past there keeper.

Bottom line we were not good and scraped a 2-1 but right now I will take that!

Absolutely Dave, like I say a bit more belief and venom and we could have walked that game tonight. Fair play to RPV and they must be overjoyed with the point. I think with the aptitude Westfield are showing we will escape relegation and next season will be the big one !!

Interesting view on the game.

Very scrappy game from both teams. Knaphill had a couple of chances but no clear cut opportunities in the first half.

Second half Frimley changed shape and were in the game more and the penalty was clear cut even Knaphill coaches accept this and the player who conceded it.

When you're at this end of the table results are key. Creating opportunities is great but not if you can't convert them.

This scrap is wide open. There's at least 7 teams involved and will go down to the wire.

Badshot Lea 2 Horley Town 0
Against high flying Badshot Lea Town failed to take the chances with two good chances to score in the first half both being cleared of the line, they went in one nil down from a breakaway goal midway through the first half. The second half was much the same with Badshot Lea having more of the play and they added a second mid way through the second half.

Interesting that the bottom three sides before tonights game have all sacked their manager and now got new teams and seam to all be picking up points, we have now dropped into the bottom three and still have not won away from home this year!
