Hmmm - time to edit my prediction for the fourth time! lol

As you are the only member of the prediction league who can edit a posting after 24 hours I suspect that this should be considered a sharp practice.

However, all is not lost because if anyone else wants to "adjust" their answer, they can PM me and no-one will be any the wiser.

I can't understand how, unless you're really lazy, the TV coverage would make you want to stay at home. To me, it doubles the excitement and is even more reason for attending in the first place.

But that's Gravesend for you... the natives don't deserve a football club, they should all bugger off down the bowling alley... <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

The Club could have taken out a "full colour page sized advert" in the Reporter (weekly print run of 10,000) for a couple of consecutive weeks advertising the game, the fact Sky TV camera's would be present and any extra entertainment being provided. This would have helped raise the profile of the Notts County match!

As it is, this hasn't happened so its no use bemoaning the fact that the local population arn't exactly snapping up the tickets. P*ss Poor advertising equals little interest!

The 8 page special in this weeks Reporter maybe a week to late but you might get a last minute rush for tickets.

I agree the apathy is hard to understand when its live on Sky. Nor am I meaning to knock the Club's efforts - having read the column by Jason Botley in last Saturday's matchday programme it brought to my attention the effort that must go into organising an event of this size.

One point of note is that if you advertise in the Reporter, then they will (if asked nicely and as its for the Football Club) place an identical advert in one of their free papers at no extra cost i.e. Gravesend Leader. Therefore, you wouldn't need to be a Reporter buyer to see a matchday advert.

Looking at things from a more positive note, maybe some of those armchair viewers will decide to make the trip to Stonebridge Road in the future once they see the game on Sky.

However, what's the chances of more people viewing the game on Sky TV in Gravesham then going to the game itself?

And do you know what, I spoke to a bloke on the phone a couple of days ago who's exact words were "No, I'm watching it on telly. Sod that for a laugh. Anyway, it'll save me £12." He's the same one that leaves matches 10 minutes early to miss the traffic. I did call him a name, a rather short one, that begins with a 'c'.....Unfortunately there are many more of that ilk in this area. Thank gawd for the 50 grand tv money, eh.

More than 2/3rds gone - so on the basis that we had 3400 tickets - it means c2300 sold. With 300 or so County fans and others, it doesnt look like the gate will be much in excess of 3000 - slightly disappointing really, but I guess the TV coverage has something to do with that.

However, has our ticket allocation been reduced as a result of the TV gantry in/on the Stonebridge Road stand?
