Former favourite returns to Bury Town

Former Bury Town fans favourite Sam Reed has returned to the club on deadline day, joining from Southern League side Biggleswade Town after two seasons at Langford Road.

Reed previously had five sucessful seasons with the Blues and was part of the Zamaretto League Midland Division championship side.

Ben Chenery said "I heard of Sam's availability and made contact with his club and himself over the weekend and we sorted out his return. Sam returning to us will be a massive boost to us all and give the supporters and players a big lift.

Hopefully Sam will continue the form that he showed when he was last here. He had an injury problem earlier in the season which has disrupted this year for him, so hopefully this will also be a fresh start for him as well"

Subject to all paperwork being completed in time, Reed will go into the side to face VCD Athletic at The Ram on Saturday.
