AFC Fylde have made two new key appointments as they expand our off the field operation.

The club have appointed a Club Doctor and Ground Safety Officer as they improve the match day experience at Kellamergh Park ahead of next year’s switch to Mill Farm.

Dr Vikesh Kashyap is the club’s new doctor who will be at the ground on match days. He trained at St Andrews University achieving a BSc before completing his clinical training at University of Manchester in 2000. He worked in the Northwest in several posts including A&E medicine and Dermatology.

He qualified as a GP in 2005 and has been a full time partner at Carleton Practice. He relinquished his partnership in May 2014 to concentrate on developing a niche market in providing laser aesthetics by opening The Fylde Clinic.

Vikesh has recently also become a partner in the not for profit organisation Cleveleys Ice Arena – which offers a high class facility for adults and children of any ability seven days a week.

Justin Mayler is the club's new Ground Safety Officer as we improve the match day security operation working with their existing staff and offering opportunities for new recruits.

Justin is vastly experienced having held a senior stewarding role at Bloomfield Road with Blackpool FC and served them in the Premiership and Championship campaigns.

The club said "AFC Fylde would like to welcome both of our new additions on board and we look forward to taking our medical and stewarding to the next level"
