FF News Posted April 2, 2015 Share Posted April 2, 2015 Bacup and Rossendale Borough have confirmed that from next season they will be known as Bacup Borough Football Club. The move was confirmed on Thursday morning following approval from the Lancashire Football Association. Bacup are still the oldest most senior football club in the Rossendale Valley however are just reverting back to its original name of Bacup Borough. To commemorate the announcement, manager Brent Peters has made his first official squad signing ahead of the new 2015/16 season, Jake Berry MP will be given the squad number of 20. When asked what has attracted you to Jake Berry MP Brent Peters responded by saying “Jake Berry has been a true loyal supporter of Bacup Borough football club even prior to his current role as the member of parliament for Rossendale and Darwen”.
