Farleigh Rovers 0 v 1 Worcester Park f/t

With Croydon Ath winning 3-0 Congratulations on promotion to the Premier Division,Well done to all concerned.

However with Farleigh losing today, they would need 1 point next week against Staines Lammas to be crowned Champions.

When Farleigh played AFC Croydon Ath. a few weeks back there were 235 people in attendance, expect a bigger crowd for this humdinger of a game.Could lammas be party poopers, similar to what Farleigh were a few seasons back against Knaphill?

Well where do we start, not knowing what the F.A.are doing via sideways shuffles,it will be unclear how many will be relegated from the Premier, although we do know that whoever finishes bottom will be Relegated looks like that will be Frimley Green unless of course they win their remaining 2 games v Spelthorne (a) Epsom and Ewell (h) and Guildford do not get any points v Colliers Wood (h) Cove (h),Mole Valley (a),however if Guildford where to get 2 wins  from their last 3 games, this could bring Hanworth Villa into the bottom 2 and their remaining 2 fixtures look tough on paper v Ashford Town (a) Cove (h).Chertsey have 2 games to play v Horley (h) Bedfont Sports (a) , 3 points could see them out of the bottom 3,if Hanworth lose both games, and Guildford fail to win their last 3 games. Then of course you have to add in Mole Valley who have 2 games left v Hartley Wintney (a) Guildford (h) a win over Hartley Wintney or Guildford would make them safe by my reckoning, unless of course,Hanworth Villa were to win 2 games,Guildford won 3 games, and Chertsey win 2 games.

The thing that would aid any team liable to end up in the bottom 3,would be Dorking Wanderers winning the Sussex County League title currently 2nd on Goal difference behind, the reason I personally think if they do not get promoted they will be shifted sideways to the CCL by the FA. So UP THE WANDERERS.

Now I HOPE all is clear as regards possible relegation, well at least as clear as mud.

Dorking Wanderers won 6-0 today woopee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a step closer

Dorking Wanderers are up. They've been up for a while.

They're the only team in the top three who applied for promotion.

Already in the Dorking SAdvertiser.

Yep Phil Ruggles was manager at Knaphill before they parted company and he went to FG.

ruggs was the manager unfortunately things didnt go well, and sad for frimley hopefully they will bounce back up, its been a funny old season so many clubs in the drop zone, well done dave and snares at westfield ;)

Wasn't going well? At the point of leaving the club were 14 points clear of relegation zone.

We've had a close call and lucky with the players we managed to bring in in time for the final few games. I can't see Keith being in charge next season. We have to go with someone with experience.

Sad to see Frimley relegated. 14 game loss record before the new management went in in January caused the major damage. How do you repair that? I can only assume villa and maybe guildford will follow

I went to watch our game yesturday. Epsom are a great club with great people. Look forward to returning next season.

2 key games next Saturday

Bedfont Sports v Chertsey,Mole  Valley v Guildford City,a sports win would at least give Hanworth Villa a chance of not being in the bottom 3,likewise Mole Valley beating Guildford could save Hanworth.Hanworth of course would have to beat Cove.

knappers 2 dont know who you are dont really care, you go and watch your so called side and compliment the away side which was out played for most of the game and not give your so called side any credit,  obviously a ruggs fan ask ruggs who brought the players in to keep knaphill in div 1  2 seasons ago. for the last 2 seasons they where and are keiths boys, in the main.

There could be good news in the pipeline for the bottom 3 though, teams in step 4 leagues above are dropping out like flies. So there could be reprieves for teams in EVO STIK central, that would of possibly been relegated to the CCL.You can but hope.

I was just complimenting them after I had a great day out on my first visit there.

I've given all my compliments on my club on my Twitter. I didn't feel the need to do so again on this post. No offense to be caused.

I'm not a Ruggs fan. No. I've been following Knaphill for over 10 years since moving to the areas from camberley. I love the club and very impressed by recent upgrades.

My reply was based on my thoughts on our performances since jan. Which haven't been great. Thankfully April kept us up. Before that we let slip a 15 point gap. That's all I was saying.

I don't know what goes on behind the scenes. That doesn't interest me. It's where the club goes and how we play.

Your opinion maybe that Keith should stay. Mine isn't. I'm sure the club will let me have my opinion if I pay to get in each game??

The other thing in football at this level that amazes me,when local Clubs with nothing technically to play for beat local rivals to possibly condemn  them to relegation.Merstham did it to Whyteleafe 2 years ago,Ashford yesterday did it to Hanworth ,they would rather travel miles to other Clubs, than a few miles locally.Makes no sense to  me

In my 15 years of senior football, never have I seen an end to a season at the foot of the ccl table as I have this year. Usually one or even two teams get cut adrift at the bottom and end with a pitiful 20 or so points but this year (technically) two teams could be relegated having achieved 40+ points. If you look at the form table, many of the teams at the bottom are right up there. In my opinion, only Frimley will be relegated as reprieves will almost certain happen above.

A very interesting thought Peter.

I've just had a brief look at Dorking Nomads 'twitter' site.  Wanderers comments to the up-coming SAdvertiser might well be very interesting.
