FF News
Hellenic League club Holyport FC have announced that manager Martin Kenealy and assistant Jean Pierre Jamil have stepped down for the forthcoming 2015/16 season. Martin confirmed to the club following the bank holiday Monday game at home to Flackwell that due to a work promotion and also moving house it would mean it was near impossible to carry on the role as first team manager with the time and effort that is required. The club finished the season with 38 points, just 7 short of their best tally in the Premier Division. This is a credit to the management team as Martin and JP did not join Holyport until 14th June, just 7 weeks before the start of the season and had a complete re build ahead of them. The club would like to thank Martin for his openness at letting us know at the earliest opportunity so the club can prepare for the new 2015/16 season. The side have been a credit to him this season and the Holyport FC committee would like to thank them all for their efforts. Club Chairman Tony Andrews commented on behalf of the committee “we would like to thank Martin, JP and his team for this season and are disappointed that he cannot continue next season but this is out of Martin’s hands. The side have done us proud this season and well done to everyone who has been involved, he has been a long hard season and I am very grateful for Martin’s efforts and wish him well for the future” Source: Holyport FC Source
