will be at  the massive southend v luton crunch match this saturday , would expect police  to win as they have too to stand a chance of playoffs but u never  know with the  pressure  of hornchurch we   might get something  out  of  the last ryman prem league gam for a while  at least

I'm sure there will be the usual excellent updates on Twitter for Hornchurch.

Do you reckon that Southend will catch Wycombe?

To cut a long story short, ETFC signed a player in January. He'd been with VCD and on loan at Cheshunt. ETFC did all the usual FA checks which did not disclose any problem in fielding said player. At some point in February further checks by ETFC revealed that the player had 3 separate entries on the FA system (apparently due to different spellings). This mean that his total number of bookings had not been reported to ETFC. The club reported this to the FA and said that he should not have played in 2 league games (against Hendon [1-0] and Tonbridge [a defeat, I believe]). The FA said 'not to worry, simply do not play him for the next 2 games'. ETFC followed this direction. Fast-forward to April and the FA decide to charge both the Club and the player. There was a hearing on Wednesday following which the FA decided the matters were proven. The matter is then referred to the Ryman League who have said they will invoke their disciplinary procedures after tomorrow's final matches (- clearly hoping that a 3 point deduction won't make a difference either way).

If I were Hendon I'd want the game replayed. Can't see that happening though. Quite a mess.

Thought it was a decent performance. Disappointed to come away with nothing actually, especially as there was only one team that had anything to play for. Met Police did squander a couple of chances though. Elliot had a good game at the back.

Now looking forward to next season, guessing that there will be a few player movements. Where exactly is Brightlingsea, is it near Clacton?

Edited by cup of tea
