Thanks for the extra workload Smudge! Seriously though, I don't have a problem with doing something like that if the offer came along, although it might be more difficult if we were actually in the Final I suppose :)

I must admit, I would have liked to see this match as I have some good friends at both clubs. I shall be on my way up North for a ground hopping weekend so I will remain diplomatic and say that I hope the best team wins on the night.

COMBINED COUNTIES CUP FINAL From Jane Spong - 20th April 2009

Woking FC are aware that there have been some negative comments about the fact that the Club will not be hosting the Combined Counties Cup Final this year. The Directors would like to explain the background to this matter.

Despite the Club having a booking for a party in its main hall that evening, it had assured the League that the Club's Legends Bar would be open to supporters as well as making available the Boardroom and the Sponsor's Lounge.

The Club assured the League that it had put measures in place to enable it to distinguish between persons attending the party and those there for the match.

It was the League's decision to find an alternative venue.

I have to say I was concerned when this was just pointed out to me on the Woking FC webiste.

Hope it all goes smoothly as we have heard nothing about this or any potential new venue.

Hope I can get into a bar too!

Chris, I think that article is five years old. I'm certainly travelling to Kingfield tomorrow.

Certainly confused me. It was pointed out to me.

Disappointed there is no mention of the game on their website.

I am in Woking early. Can't wait!

They moved it to Carshalton that season. It's the year we beat Worcester Park.

I'm being selfish due to being over this side of the league's area but I prefer it when it's at Woking or even Farnborough. It means I can go even if we're not in the final.

Congratulations to Cambo on their win tonight in extra time.   :applaus:

Decent final with 385 in attendance.

As ever a fantastic report Chris and couldn't argue with any of it.  Well Done to Woods for their efforts.  I thought are players looked hungry for the trophy and that just about saw us over the line !
