Appeal Fund Supporting Your Club

LS. Are you honestly saying that the FA would overturn their decision based on the fact that ETFC would be willing to go to court? We don't yet know what the response has been of the members, and as we all know, court cases cost a lot of money.

If our club is seriously considering dragging this out for months and months in court and as a result maybe costing the FA serious money (and delaying the play-offs indefinetly as a result),it may focus their minds..I'M not saying we should or shouldn't go to court.I'm saying it will not hurt us if the FA think we are looking at that as a serious option IF they don't see common sense and adjust their ruling.

I agree with LS. However I know many of the board are prepared to genuinely dig their heels in and take it through the courts. Members contributions to a further appeal has been decent as well.

All this though because we have from all quarries of the country (inc Wealdstone) a unanimously supported case.

I'm sure it's been said on here before, but going down the court route is extremely expensive as I can testify, knowing the costs from Dorking F.C's past history a few seasons ago.

It's fine if you win AND are awarded costs.  Probably terminal if you lose.

Have you no-one connected to your club with a legal background who might be able to advise ?

A personal opinion and I am not sure if it is helpful to the debate or to our cause but here goes.

I really feel that we need to consider the wider impact of any potential further appeals after Friday's findings before we escalate matters further which would inevitably delay the Play-Offs further. I started following Enfield as it was what 'we did' in our family. 37 years since my first game I take enormous pride in being both an Enfield supporter but also a supporter of  Non-League Football generally. The things that set us apart as Non-League fans from the newbies at the Big Clubs (sic.) of the Premier League matter. If Friday's outcome does not go in our favour 'We' need to stop to consider the Supporters , Players and Administrators of our fellow Clubs in the Isthmian League and the impact it is having on them. For the good of the game the Play-Offs should take place next week before the situation spirals out of control; whomever is to actually blame for this regrettable situation.

I hope Noel would agree. :)

For what its worth I think this should have been flagged by the league months ago, is it your fault..... I dont know and in truth as a supporter of team that is ..... "awaiting"  confirmation of when the play-offs might take place then I really dont care.  If the FA or the Ryman League are at fault then you guys deserve to be given the  chance to prove your team, however fellas if they prove otherwise apart from the obvious trolls already on this subject you might find that opinions turn against rather than for.  Good luck either way - a Margate Supporter :)
