I've always wondered why clubs are interested in promoting their PSF's on here. For me, I'd rather games were kept under wraps so as not to reveal any early strengths or weaknesses, as well as stopping the tongues wagging about potential new signings. I've seen way to many conclusions drawn from pre season results that turn out to be redundant come the end of the season.

A genuinely solid performance from Southall Vs STEP 4 Uxbridge yesterday, The players look like they are ticking over nicely, shape looked well rehearsed. It was a tough fixture and in the opening 25minutes Uxbridge showed their class, but once Southall got a foothold in the game they showed their own qualities and took the lead on 40mins through Jack Todd. A late but deserved equaliser from Uxbridge meant the game finished level. I Really do like what this young Manager Mani Asare has done in little less than a season. Will definitely watch as many of their games as I can this season

Looks like some decent performances from SSMFL Prem teams against higher oppostion. What happened with Hertford though, 9-2 ouch

Don't read too much into the scoreline OD. 1st half ended 2-1 to W&F and then the Gaffa put the trialists, reserves & youth on for the 2nd half. A few 1st team players also absent. All about fitness and minutes at this stage. No need to panic just yet.

Not sure where you got we were playing Biggleswade Town Development squad. It was billed as simply Stotfold v Biggleswade. I gave you the result 3-1. Both sides played around played 20 players each which were all a mix of first team squad players, U21's and triallists. Suddenly we only won 3-2 and their teams a development side.

They played exactly the same set of players when beating Biggleswade United but won that one so that was ok then.

Listen these are only friendlies and the result is irrelevant but I do get slightly p***ed off when clubs cant except it. We are playing Royston and Barton next week and intend to play 2 sets of 11 players in each half again. Best you put these all  down as a Stotfold Development Squad just in case.

Stotfold 1 Royston 5

A full strength Royston side were too strong for Stotfold who again fielded 2 different sides either half. A good workout though and it will be interesting when we play Barton Rovers Saturday. First up the U21's at home to Harpenden Thursday

A solid performance from Southall AWAY to Wembley FC 3-1 up at a stage but finished 3-3.

Very impressive shape, J.Ward 2, D.Mark 1

Was tempted to attend the Wembley v Southall game yesterday wish i had now :(  . Interesting to see J.Ward on the score sheet i rate that guy highly if he does a full season at Southall he will get 25+ goals no problem and Southall should finish in the top 5 at the very least. For me Southall FC are going in one direction and that's upwards but i know that's its still only pre - season games but the signs are positive.

Is J.Hopla still with Southall FC?

We Hanwell Town are in for a very tough game on the 4th of August they are always tough games against Southall even the pre - season games.

That's Wembley's second 3 3 draw this pre - season.

Great work with the pre - season results Peter  :top:

One from tonight

Tring Athletic Reserves 4-3 Totterhoe (1st team)

Thanks for the fixture tonight. A very good work out for both teams, and a good opportunity to look at new players and new formations.

Very much a game of 2 halves, the slope playing a big part I felt, perhaps a draw a fair result of it wasn't for a dodgy back pass 5 minutes before the end.

Very disappointed with the ref, no roll on roll off subs is an absolute joke, that's what preseason is all about, he tried his best to make the fixture all about him but the players conducted themselves very well.

FT. Hertford Town 4 Hanwell Town 4

Hertford Town were 4 0 up at half time.

A very good second half come back from us with R.Pither rolling back the years with two of our goals today.

Good to see BDC and LX.

Always one of my fave grounds to visit and goodluck to Hertford Town FC for the new season.
