Knaphill report,New drainage works,Painting a new Standing Stand,Top soiling and reseeding the pitch.Must say the ex Division 1 sides, put the old established Clubs in the CCL to shame, ground improvements first,Results on the pitch to follow. What have your Club got planned,a new lick of paint would do for starters at many.

I'm sure all clubs will do all they can smudge with the time people can give and of course the costings.

You make it sound like other clubs just go to sleep out of season

Every one does all they can in this League to help.

Any club with a ground with free time should be praised for helping those with problems.

That's an interesting appointment.Adam worked with the U18 team at Ashford a few years ago and I wish him well in his new role.

In other news, Ashford Town (Middlesex) have been honoured in The FA Community Awards:

Ashford Re-instated into Charity Cup

Tuesday, 19 May 2015 15:54

Written by Springett

Confirmation has come from Middlesex County FA today that Ashford have been reinstated into the Middlesex Charity Cup, following the disclosure that Enfield Town unwittingly fielded a suspended player against us back in January. We would again reiterate that our sympathies are with Enfield Town, who lost a far more important prize than this competition, in being denied the right to compete in the play-offs for promotion to the Conference South.

We said that we would abide by any decision taken by the County as far as the Charity Cup was concerned and having been reinstated, we will now entertain defeated semi-finalists Cockfosters FC in a hastily re-arranged semi-final at Short Lane on Tuesday 28 July, kick-off 7.45 p.m. This will be the first match on the main pitch next season.

The County has ordained that the Final will then take place against Harrow Borough, at their ground, on Saturday 1 August.

The County’s decision is subject to appeal by Enfield to the FA but such an appeal one would think, would be unlikely.

Feel for Enfield over whole thing. They've done little wrong and fallen foul of the incompetences of others

I couldn't agree more Nigel.  Unfortunately, the 'incompetence' was all down to 'The Powers That Be' Hey-Ho  -  Nothing changes !!

Lammas are spending money on the pitch at Laleham to get it up to scratch for the forth coming season, and Steve Honey has been appointed Groundsman again, which is great news for Lammas and Laleham FC as last time he done the pitch he came third in the FA awards at step six.
