i hope we keep boylan, looks like steve jones is coming hopefully.would hate to see buzz and wayne go. Would like to see scott forbes, david gregory, justin edinbrough, dozzell and big dominante centre back a bit like old steve wiseman, some 1 like lee shearer but it seems that his going to woking. Little john keeling is quality to and good cover for ash to give him a bit of compition.i see that jeff minton has left orient he was very good for port vale down here.

Stimmo, Tilse, Vauyne,Boylan, probably a couple more.

The trap is to replace with Nationwide players

coming to the end of their careers. Jones looks a perfect example, looking to play back in the South East after a season commuting to & from Bristol. Losing 2 stone in the process. I dare say playing in the Ryman for him would not be a great incentive.

Before you know it you have got a centre forward

resembling the manager in physical appearance!

The way forward is to pick the cream of the crop of the younger players at the level Canvey play. Players with hunger for success.

What ever Kingy decides Grays will be 2 games next season with a little added spice!

I would like to wish Stimson,Vaughan,Smith,Boylan & Tilson all the best at their new clubs, you can't replace the class which we have just lost with rejects from other clubs

If Canvey need a new centreal defender to replace Mick Bodley, Colchester's Alan White is currently considering whether to stay at the League club and Leo Roget has been released by Stockport. They would make a good addition in the backline.<p>Pumpkin grin.gif" border="0

All I would say is that with the players who have gone or likely to go, what a major rebuilding job for next season. Last season, the main core of Trophy team players was still in place which led to another great season. The 5 players mentioned in going played mainly down the middle of the pitch which has left the wings mainly intact. Let’s just hope that Jeff & Co can attract the right quality players who are still hungry and have enough desire to carry on where the others have left off.

dear rich sparkes,

are you some kind of IDIOT! Jeff minton would NEVER sign for canvey, he thinks too highly of himself. he is a stroppy so & so and hew left orient cos he thought they werent givin him enough money. his a quality player, but if orient cant afford it, canvey deffinately cant afford it.

Now that Ipswich have been relegated. Does anyone think we will pick up some of their younger players who feel they have no future at the club?

Matthew Bloomfield would be good, but I feel Ipswich would (and should) want to hold onto him.

That would be nice ... but what about all this business with the football league and itv digital , 600 pro's being released from there contracts . surely this must mean that alot of them will fall down in to Conference , Ryman , Dr Martens , Unibond etc .... I think we have some very promising young players at the club ... Adam Miller , Ian thompson , Glen Johnson .. plus those a little older such as John Kennedy , Lee Boylan , Wayne Vaughan , Spencer Knight ... looks a very excitng time ahead . cant wait to see who we sign ....
