Robins cut costs to champion affordable football

Home and away fans at Ilkeston FC can look forward to paying less at the turnstiles when the new Eco-stik Northern Premier League campaign kicks off in August.

In a bid to make football more affordable and buck the trend of increasing costs for supporters, the Premier Division's Robins are lowering the prices for season and matchday tickets in all categories. Supporters who've already bought season tickets at 'early bird' rates originally announced in March won't lose out as officials say they will now be valid for two seasons.

Ilkeston FC chief executive Nigel Harrop believes their bold new strategy will also help the club attract fans disillusioned with the pro game and he is looking forward to seeing many new faces at the New Manor Ground.

Harrop said: “We know there is the potential for us to be attracting gates of over 600 and with this new pricing structure we’re hoping to see more people at the home games."

For more information on the new ticket prices including adult season tickets reduced from £180 to £120, visit the club's website at: www.ilkestonfc.co.uk.
