FF News
Basingstoke Town manager Jason Bristow has continued his pre-season squad building by convincing experienced forward player Manny Williams to put pen-to-paper on a new deal with the Vanarama National League South club. Bristow said: “Manny’s another important signing for us, vastly intelligent and his experience is invaluable to the squad. Alongside this, he’s a very popular character and has a good rapport with everyone connected to the club which is an important factor – we’re glad to have him back on board for the coming season” The 33-year-old joined ‘Stoke in late 2012 and has averaged 12 goals a season in his two-and-a-half years at the club. More recently Williams has found himself playing in a deeper role, using his experience to bring other players in to the game. Williams becomes the thirteenth member of last season’s squad to sign up for another year, following the club’s highest ever Conference South finish.
