we've lost our goalie, our best centre back and record goal scorer.  its not as if hopey and kirbs have had to drop down the leagues either, other teams in our league obviously stil rate them. thats the spine of teh team.  if Bobby and Corey go, they I am certainly concerned about goal scoring.

Nathan was on loan, if he played well (as he did) he was always going back to Braintree. More than an adequate replacement in Hughes, it says a lot about Brad that he got him in.

LH didn't feature in the starting line up, mainly coming on as a sub in the second half of the season. I'm looking for big things from Wynter this season to support both Corey and BD. As Brad is likely to start both these, it's understandable Liam has left. Will he be missed? Yes, but I think he's done the right thing by leaving on a high. I think the pace of the game in the RPL is getting quicker every season and Brad is obviously going that way with his first choice front two.

As for Kirby, he was injured for the last 10? games of the season. Definitely a big loss, but remember Brad found us Vilcu, he resurrected Devyne's career, so I trust him to find some more gems.

So apart from MacDonald, I don't think you can say the spine of the team has gone based on the line-ups of the last two months of last season. It's disappointing to see both Kirby and Hope go, but it's happened. Just get behind Brad and the team he puts out.

It is a concern, as Kirby and Hope along with Macdonald/Imber have been part of the spine over the past few years. I'm sure some replacements will be found but what these players have showed has been the ability to consistently perform conisistently over a season, which younger players (BQs preferred players) tend not to always do as we saw with Devyne at the end of last season.

I'm sure in time we will replace these players but I wouldn't underestimate the experience and leadership qualities they brought to the squad.

I'm sure some signings are imminent and we'll soon find out!

In Brad we must trust. I am confident we will have an amazing season.

Spine of possible starting XI being

Hughes (one of best keepers in the league)

Vilcu (one of best defenders in the league)

Mugou (big Stan is immense and defo one of first names on team sheet)

Devyne/Whiteley (name me a better front pairing in the Division)

All teams have to evolve or they just get passed by those that do.
