Guiseley AFC - parking plea!

Hi folks, just a note for anyone coming to visit the mighty Guiseley AFC at Fortress Nethermoor this season;

 

We have a real issue with congested local roads and matchday parking. Tickets have been handed out at all our big pre-season friendlies (Huddersfield Tn, Barnsley & Bradford City) for poor/inconsiderate/dangerous parking. This will continue as the season starts.

We do have a large, FREE car park, 2 mins walk from Away turnstile end of ground over a railway footbridge (our own Wembley Way....). Please can you use the postcode for that - LS20 9PD - if using a SatNav.  Google Maps url is here; https://www.google.c...8w.kavGPHwPR1-s i. it is located on Netherfield Rd, which runs parallel to the main A65 and is accessible at one end via Oxford Rd (from the traffic lights in town centre) and at the other end from Ings Lane.

 

Please make this your first port of call and only park on the neighbouring roads if absolutely essential. The whole parking issue is causing us nothing but hassle as we try to get plans passed to improve Nethermoor - and, sadly, poor and inconsiderate parking by visiting fans is only giving the NIMBYs ammunition!

 

Better still - come by train! Guiseley Station, on the Warfedale Line to Ilkley, is a 5 mins walk from the ground. Just a 12 minute journey from Leeds, trains every 30 mins.
