Westfield 2 - 1 Hanworth Villa.

A close fought contest between two very capable sides. Westfield stunned the visitors by taking an early lead after a cross from the right wing was hammered home at the far post. That set the tone for the game and both teams created some good chances. It was Hanworth who equalised when they rounded the advancing Wesfield keeper to make it 1 a piece. The second half continued like the first with both teams playing some inspiring football, however it was Westfield who came out on top with the winning goal late into the second half. From a personal note I offer my congratulations to both teams who conducted themselves in such a professional manner and were interested only in playing a quality game of football and not trying to kick lumps out of each other. This left the ref with very little to do and allowed the game to flow for the full 90 minutes..... Well done lads, a credit to the division.

Forget to mention that Epsom Athletic are scheduled to be at home to Dorking FC tonight in a Div 1 league game at Chalky Lane 7.45pm KO.

Weather permitting, I just might pop along!

Open spaces in North Holmwood are rapidly becoming ponds after 24 hours rain !

How well and how quickly does Epsom Athletics ground drain ?

Both matches involving CCL clubs are now off tonight, Epsom Ath v Dorking and in the Hants Senior Cup, Brockenhurst v Eversley.  The latter match has been re-arranged for next Wednesday.

Can't say I'm surprised Alan.  Lets hope the weather improves before the weekend.
